We didn't get CLARITY, but we still need to build At the @thelsuite_co's crypto GC offsite, I'm joining my peers from @anagramxyz and @PanteraCapital on actual and practical actions GC should and can take now. No crystal ball just things you can actually do

Our response drew on the Clarity Act’s heavily negotiated control principles. Some may find them inconvenient. When one group owns and controls the trading venue, sequencing, settlement, and everything in between, that infrastructure isn’t public and permissionless.
The SEC's tokenization exemption has a big open question: what counts as a "public, permissionless" blockchain? 🤔 The first 3 tokenized stock venues:
TSV LLC on @CantonNetwork
OKXICE on its own @Ethereum L2
Kephas Corp. on its own @Ethereum L2 Who wants what: @SolanaInstitute , @malekanoms and @lex_node want it tighter @hedera wants it wider @SIFMA wants clarity @BetterMarkets wants it scrapped Meanwhile, 22 of 62 companies have objected to having their shares tokenized on OKXICE. The rules for onchain stocks are being written right now & this graphic is a busy one!! Via @CryptoAmerica_ @EleanorTerrett.

This week, @fund_defi, @jump_ ,@paradigm, @SolanaInstitute and @Uniswap submitted a comment letter to @USTreasury on its proposed GENIUS Act Section 3 implementation rulemaking. The GENIUS Act established important statutory protections for DeFi and developers of blockchain technology. We believe that Treasury’s final rule must respect these statutory boundaries.

Truly disappointed we didn’t have a rep from CME join us on this panel @rwasummit for a more rounded discussion on the reg treatment of crypto perps but always a pleasure to share the stage with @laurashin, @jchervinsky and @tjsmith414 on the viability of crypto perps in the US

Attending the @rwasummit in 2 weeks? Be sure to catch our General Counsel @_cathyyoon on the mainstage talking perps, regulation, and where DeFi actually stands right now. "Are perps poking the regulator bear or showing the art of the possible?" Should be a great session.

We've published our motivation for writing SIMD-0553 along with our Solana Governance Proposal: go.temporal.xyz/research Solana offers users access to compute resource that are highly available, decentralized, verifiable. Today, it gives them away for free. We encourage you to read our blog post summarizing the case for the resource fee.

if your defi application does not have a defense against downtime, it should. LastRestartSlot is a sysvar available to you on Solana (born during the tough times) humidifi pools are automatically disabled on restart (Fig 1) borrow/lend venues and perps dexes can disable withdrawals for a short period after a restart
the worst censorship vector for a perps dex on solana is not the proposer monopoly. it is downtime. zero liquidations, zero price updates for a minimum of 20 minutes. the chain must never go down again.

The @GLFOP now supports the Clarity Act! Today's progress didn't happen by accident. It's the result of countless conversations, meaningful engagement, and real changes made to address law enforcement concerns while preserving innovation. Three titles, 25 provisions, numerous thoughtful conversations about how to address illicit finance. Thank you to the Senators, their staffs, and the White House for working together to move this forward.
🚨NEWS: The National Fraternal Order of Police, one of the key law enforcement groups involved in negotiations over the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act, is now backing the latest version of the Clarity Act, saying revised BRCA language addresses its previous concerns and preserves law enforcement’s ability to investigate crypto crimes. The BRCA remained unchanged in the latest version of the bill released Wednesday, so it’s unclear what changes the group is referencing.

I've been loudly pushing back on the corp-chain FUD that MEV makes permissionless networks un-useable for traditional fin'l tx's. My article in @traders_tweets today lays out the full rebuttal. Open networks have won out every time; they'll win again now. tradersmagazine.com/flashbac…

SIMD-0553 is merged, fully approved, and landing in v4.3. Solana's base fee has been 5,000 lamports per signature since genesis, whether you tick an oracle or run 1.4M CU of swap routing. Now fees price what transactions actually request, and the resource component burns. Votes: 12% cheaper. Oracle updates: 17% cheaper. Burn: 648 SOL/day today, 7,500 to 9,000 at the terminal rate. Proposed and written by our own @cavemanloverboy. Full breakdown, including what it does stacked with SIMD-0550: go.temporal.xyz/SIMD
