I visited the Obama Center in Chicago yesterday. I highly recommend. It made me a little sad, though. How could we have gone from such class, grace and eloquence to where we're at now? It makes no sense.

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

I was just reminded of this tonight. I crossed paths with Tony Curtis twice in my lifetime. Once across the aisle on a flight to run the New York City Marathon, and the second time at the Hotel Del Coronado. He was there for the unveiling of the Marilyn Monroe postage stamp.
