NEW: Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian says QB Arch Manning is "edgy" right now:
"I think that somebody texted me today that we lost the 'Ah Shucks kid', you know, and we've created something else. I don't know if we lost him. We created this, you know. We did, all of us, y'all included, meet the whole thing, right? Everybody on ESPN, we've created this."

I’m increasingly convinced that Dan Wolken’s takes over the years—and his near-180 since moving to Yahoo—were more a byproduct of his employer than any newfound ability to rationalize.
USAToday writers writing lazy narratives seems to be the recurring pattern.
That LSU has the better team is one thing.
That is has Lane Kiffin, full of piss, vinegar and motivation, is an entirely different problem for Ole Miss.

The lack of self-awareness in that state is absolutely mind boggling.
"The hope from the LSU side is that security is not an issue and that the focus can be between the white lines."

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry’s statement to @YahooSports on the SEC threatening to expel LSU:
“Ridiculous. Can we just play football?”
I think Tyler from Spartanburg is owed an apology. His concerns three years ago were valid. #iykyk
Y’all remember when the CAA put a pressure campaign on Ole Miss to let Lane coach the playoff?
"He can't handle Ole Miss being successful"
In latest Lane Being Lane excerpt for @CBSSports, multiple sources accuse Lane Kiffin of feeding Dabo Swinney information for a tampering case against Ole Miss.

This bill will never stop School A from getting Business B to promise under-the-table benefits to Player C under the guise of “certifying” third-party NIL.
Asking Congress to help control spending is like asking a credit card company to talk you out of impulse shopping.
College sports fans are exhausted.
Rosters turn over, NIL rules vary by state and another round of lawsuits are always around the corner.
The Protect College Sports Act isn’t perfect, but it could finally provide the stability college football desperately needs.

Man, I didn’t realize that Ole Miss called it a year after beating Tulane. I thought they played a game or two after that.
“The four of us could have coached Ole Miss to a win over Tulane.”
-@finebaum opined on if @OleMissFB will make the CFP in 2026
Fritz just outclassed today by Zverev. Didn't see a loss in straight sets like that.
Best chance for an American Wimbledon winner in the modern era goes down in flames.

Why is it ‘cancelled’ in the U.K. but ‘canceled’ in the U.S.?
Because we gave them that L in 1776.
Best vehicle on the market right now for the price, and I’m not sure it’s all that even close.

Ole Miss really had to earn this CWS trip with a very difficult path, winning perhaps the most loaded regional (taking some epic games against Nebraska and ASU), then going on the road against the No. 4 national seed and sweeping them in front of 10K people. Rebs are tough, man.
FINAL: @OleMissBSB 5, Auburn 3. The Rebels come into Plainsman Park and sweep the super, returning to Omaha for the first time since they won it all in '22. Finest of margins all weekend, back-to-back HRs in the eighth the difference. Really like the Rebels' arms. Rabe was great.
Oh, I don’t know, our only loss during the regular season, while you were head coach, was avenged when you, *checks notes*, weren’t on the sideline.
Lane Kiffin says Ole Miss would’ve reached the national championship game if he’d coached the playoff, with Pete Golding in booth.
‘What are you going to argue?’
That, plus 6 other takeaways from Kiffin’s interview with @usatodaysports.
