the bigger promoters like everyday people have always travelled seasonally so this isn’t even about them. they don’t come here during this time either. but like, it’s always the ones you’ve never heard of that have 1-2 dj friends in the city and see it as a cash grab

point here is less about who does or doesn’t do it and more so that local collectives should have all resources (audience, venue) to shine during big moments in their city. there’s already so much happening and then now the attention gets split further
