I've never been this excited about something I've built. Not when I launched. Not when friends said nice things. Someone I will never meet decided it was worth paying for.
If you've shipped something, what was your first real signal it was working?
None of that tells you it's working. A stranger's credit card does.
OneHug is a group card. One person starts it, invites the people who matter, and everyone adds a message and a photo. One swipeable keepsake instead of signatures on a Hallmark card.
Most of the work has been invisible. Rewriting prompts so the questions actually pull real stories out of people. Fixing flows so contributors don't drop off. Staring at data trying to figure out why someone starts a card and never finishes it.
Got a notification yesterday. A stranger paid for a OneHug.
Not a friend. Not someone I asked. Someone who found an ad, clicked through, and pulled out their credit card.
Five more have come in since.
onehug.io - Thanks Blake, if you're still going! :) If not, thanks anyway. Such a huge help to so many people.
Launched OneHug on Product Hunt today 🚀
Been building this passion project to make group cards actually worth receiving.
If you've got 30 seconds, an upvote + quick comment means the world on launch day 🙏

My colleagues gave repeated standing ovations to Netanyahu yesterday.
I hope they remember the starving children of Gaza who will carry the scars of this disaster for the rest of their lives.

Hard for me to support someone with no values, lies, cheats, rapes, demeans women, hates immigrants like me. He may cut my taxes or reduce some regulation but that is no reason to accept depravity in his personal values. Do you want President who will set back climate by a decade in his first year? Do you want his example for your kids as values?
