The "Close your Eyes. We'll Immunize" program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is one of several hospital systems that are implementing this tactic to increase vaccine uptake. @ChildrensHD published an article on this today: childrenshealthdefense.org/d… Two very important points: 1) The children in this program were vaccinated under anesthesia after consent from parents was obtained. My best guess was, of course, that consent was most likely not given from a properly informed position. 2) Though it may be easy to regard the medical professionals who are involved in this program as "evil" people whose intention is to harm, the problem is much worse. These folks COMPLETELY BELIEVE they are doing the right thing which makes them even more motivated to persist in their insanity. Further, they are in a nearly impenetrable echo chamber. I know. I work in one. While most of the medical professionals I work with everyday will never agree to have another modRNA shot, they still do not hesitate to get flu vaccines despite their deplorable effectiveness and common side effects. Folks who work in health care believe they are part of a wall between diseases and the population they serve. Vaccines are the armor they must wear even if those they seek to protect refuse to get one. It's part of their identity. If we truly want to liberate the public from the vaccine myth we have to change the minds of medical professionals. There's no way around that in my view. Suggestions?

I'm a Board Certified anesthesiologist and have been in practice for 24 years. I just learned that the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where I trained has launched a program to increase flu vaccine uptake among children by vaccinating them while under anesthesia. The program is called "Close your Eyes. We'll Immunize" This is stunningly irresponsible. Here's why: Anesthetists are extremely risk avoidant and endeavor to minimize patient exposure to anything which carries potential side effects. This is particularly true of pediatric patients who very often have never been exposed to anesthetic medications. We simply cannot know how an individual child will respond to these drugs for the first time. Every single medication we administer during an operation can potentially trigger untoward or allergic responses. When this occurs our primary responsibility is to stabilize the patient. Our secondary responsibility is to identify the offending agent. There is absolutely no justification of introducing another agent, in this case a flu vaccine, which carries a risk of harm and contributes nothing to the success of the operation. Some of the more common side effects of flu vaccines are fever (11-16%) and less commonly, a rash (1%). There is also an non-zero risk of severe allergic reactions and high-grade fevers which can develop over the course of minutes. What if a child under anesthesia receives a vaccine and develops a rash and/or fever? Is it from the antibiotic that the surgeon requested? Is it from the narcotic? The anxiolytic? The barbiturate? Anesthetic gases can also (rarely) trigger a life threatening response called Malignant Hyperthermia which commonly presents as a high fever. Without subsequent testing we cannot know which agent was responsible. Most commonly the testing is never done and the child’s record will forever reflect the possibility that some or all of the drugs which were used are responsible for their reaction. This makes future anesthetic care significantly more challenging and will require the use of alternatives which may not be necessary. Advocating for a flu vaccine while a child is anesthetized reflects the pervasive yet inaccurate attitude among the medical establishment that vaccines are perfectly safe. I simply cannot believe that my mentors would have ever supported this initiative when I was a resident there. Close your eyes indeed.

First Lady Melania Trump’s 5 PILLARS OF WOMENS HEALTH INNOVATION // 1. Direct research funding towards finding cures that affect women in a disproportionate and unique way.   2. Use super intelligence to enhance our insight of female biology and speed up medical discoveries. 3. Accelerate the process of getting promising therapeutics from laboratories to female patients, while maintaining strict safety standards.   4. Ensure that medical breakthroughs are accessible and affordable to women, regardless of their financial circumstances.   5. Replace generations of silence with open conversation, education, and compassion surrounding women’s health.

CMS's decision to remove 760,000 ACA marketplace enrollments that showed overwhelming signs of being phantom enrollees was commonsense, good government. These enrollees had no SSN, $0 premium (it was fully subsidized), $0 claims, and no contact with their insurer. And @CMSGov required insurers to try to contact them in multiple ways before disenrollment. And if they actually removed a legitimate enrollee who met all these criteria, that person could contact the exchange and get re-enrolled. Again, commonsense actions to restore integrity to a program that became overrun with fraud and improper enrollment during the Biden administration. I estimated 1% of these enrollments might be real. Turns out it is <0.01%!
Democrats howled when we terminated 760,000 phantom enrollments from Obamacare. They claimed we were taking care away from real people. Well, fewer than 1 in 10,000 of those canceled enrollments has led to a phone call or outreach from a real person. What @DrOzCMS and the team are doing to crackdown on fraud is remarkable.

A quarter of a century has passed since September 11, 2001, when the peace of our Nation was shattered by terrorists. Today, we remember the 2,977 precious lives taken from us, honor the heroes who answered the call, & keep their families in the heart of our Nation. Above all, we must ensure the memory of 9/11 never fades, but is carried from one generation of Americans to the next. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Charlie Kirk died with a microphone in his hand—not a gun, a knife, or a grenade, but an instrument of communication. When we stop believing in the dignity of the human person, violence takes its place. A year later, that is still the wound. May he rest in peace.

When you arrive at the place beyond despair, a dark place of fear and void of hope, there is a choice to be made. Would you recognize your brokenness and surrender what remains of your life to the Author of Light, the Son of God Jesus Christ? That’s exactly what I did 18 years ago today while burning alive in Afghanistan. What I found on this side of that surrender is freedom, purpose, hope, and love. If you’ve lost all hope, I’m here to testify that there will be an amazing life for you too if you give your life to Jesus. That doesn’t mean we are free of pain. It means there is a peace and hope that passes understanding. You don’t have to know all the answers. Asking for help from your Heavenly Father and turning to His Word in the Bible will get you started on a journey you won’t regret. Start with the book of Romans. These verses were an anchor to get me through extremely tough times: “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:3-8 The fact that I’m alive today is a miracle. And, that fact means I have no doubt about my purpose: to know my God and point others to the hope I found in Him.
