Been working on how I write emails: “So sorry for the delay” New: “Thanks for your patience” (I FORGOT, BUT YOU CAN DEAL) “What works best for you?“ New: “Could you do __:__?” (MY TIME MATTERS TOO, OKAY) “No problem!” New: “Happy to help!” (YEAH, YOU’RE WELCOME)

A6: Not so much a tool but I like using emails I receive for inspiration. If there's a subject line I find particularly clever, I'll save it and think about a way I can work that same format/idea into something we're creating. #BraftonBuzz

A5: Tip #3: Use as few words as possible to communicate the value of what you're sharing. Sometimes just 1-2 words plus a well-placed emoji does the trick. @reallygoodemail does this especially well. /3 #BraftonBuzz
A5: I'm a sucker for alliteration and listicle type headlines so whenever I get a chance I use those tactics. /1 #BraftonBuzz

A5: Another good tip: Switch things up! Keep an eye on each title you publish/email and make sure it's a bit different from the last. /2 #BraftonBuzz

A4: For search, make sure your target topic is exact match in the headline (if grammatically possible) and as early on in the title as possible. This makes sure it doesn't get cut off in SERPs and damage your potential for clicks. /1 #BraftonBuzz

A4: It's also important, in search, to make sure your headline matches the intent of the searcher as closely as possible. The purchase intent of someone searching for "how to do SEO" is much different than someone searching "SEO vendor" /2 #BraftonBuzz

A3: All the typical ones (open rate, CTR, social shares, etc.) but also Forward Rate is one of my favorite behaviors to understand how a headline is performing. #BraftonBuzz

^ Forward rate for email sends, of course :) #BraftonBuzz
A2: So much time. The headline does so much. The angle, the reason why the reader should click. Sometimes we have debates over which headline is best for a piece. The struggle is real. But a lot's at stake. A headline can make or break how well your article performs. #BraftonBuzz
