He’s been put in an uncomfortable position twice already. 1. When they aired that convo and failed to protect him from being sexualised, and 2. When they asked him to speak first regarding the issue instead of the ones that should be held accountable.
Also don’t like that mj said “ang ilang fans nadismaya”. A little scrolling in the soc meds and you would have seen that cvs also picked up on the issue and raised concerns. Not just fans. Stop making it look like it’s only an issue from the fans’ perspective🙃

Donny used professional and gentle words because he is a gracious person and too kind not to escalate the situation publicly. If you truly know him, you know na there’s nowhere in his statement did he justify nor absolved everyone there. He acknowledged something happened that was wrong and that there is definitely an awkward result of that.
He is proper, gentleman and kind. He will never speak ill against anyone. When did he ever? Do not use this interview as license to say what happened was okay and that “fans are just so OA”.
Nakakahiya na kung sino pa yung taong pinag-usapan inappropriately on National TV nang wala naman niyang consent ay siya pa nauna magsalita. So unfair na this also happened during the launch of his business. Napaka inappropriate. Sana napag-isipan po mabuti bago ni-run @mjfelipe instead of his business being highlighted, ito pa.
When will you even take accountability? Hindi ba kayo nahihiya niyan? @abscbnggv @babydollsofc @vicegandako

i genuinely don’t understand why he had to be asked if he was offended, as if his answer would absolve the people involved of any wrongdoing. but then again, he was gracious about it, as he has always been. he said he wasn’t offended, just that it might be awkward, especially since they’re in the same network and whatnot.
still, he shouldn’t have been the one put on the spot to begin w. why ask the person at the receiving end of the situation to weigh in on whether everyone else should be absolved of accountability? so weird.

i hope some people learn to look beyond the surface. his answer was gracious, but that doesn’t mean the situation wasn’t awkward or that the people involved are automatically absolved of accountability.
and mj framing it as FANS calling out the incident? it wasn’t just fans. people outside the fandom reacted and questioned what happened, and reducing the criticism to fandom outrage doesn’t make the actual concern any less valid 🥱
