It’s not “old school” to hustle everywhere
It’s not “old school” to respect your opponent
It’s not “old school” to bunt for a hit
It’s not “old school” to have a high ⚾️ IQ
It’s not “old school” to have emotional control
It’s not “old school” to act like you’ve done it before
It’s not “old school” to be disciplined and respectful
It’s not “old school” to not have to wear a ton of “accessories”
It’s not “old school”…
It’s winning
It’s all about the team
It’s the respecting the game

Every parent, coach and player should listen to this. Maybe listen twice just to let it sink in.

Never forget this...ever...it defines a champion. Struggles, tough times, bad breaks...it’s all part of the journey. The very nature of sport. So ultimately, success boils down to being a fierce competitor in the face of adversity. Mental toughness. Period.

Two things we’ve learned today:
1. Michigan is a poor football team.
2. Kentucky is a poor football team.

16U🥇Game Recap: Jory Crocker (IL) delivered a clutch hit and was masterful on the mound. Broder Katke (MI) knocked in a key insurance run, and Chase Farmer (KY) was outstanding in relief to close it out.

The #1 skill missing from today’s athlete is mental toughness. Refusing to hold oneself accountable to individual and team goals. Blaming others for circumstances. Not fighting through adversity. Pouting and poor body language. Physical skill can only take you so far. Get tough!
