Every single time you share a copy of your ID book you are opening yourself to fraud because the issue date which is used as a security key is on the same page. Smart ID has it at the back, which reduces the chance of you being a victim of identity theft. – at Makhado, South Africa

One of the things I appreciate most about getting older is becoming increasingly honest with myself about what I can accept, what I can work through, and what I will no longer tolerate.
I had forgotten how tedious moving is but instead of complaining today, I gave thanks to God and my forefathers for this blessing and milestone. The kids have somewhere they call home. ♥️

Having kids forces you into good habits simply because you have to model what you want your kids to do. You want your kids to not swear so you stop swearing. You want your kids listening to beautiful music so you listen to beautiful music. You want your children eating healthy food so you make them healthy food and that’s what you end up eating. You want them getting lots of fresh air and exercise outdoors and boom you’re right there outside with them. You want them brushing their teeth twice a day and flossing and suddenly you’re doing it like clockwork too. It’s amazing how looking after someone you love can make you look after yourself better.

The dishes are in the sink because people ate.
The shoes are by the door because people came home.
The toys are scattered everywhere because people were happy.

Hill I will die on as a mom: sleep is not enough for me to feel rested. I need a few hours where I can sit down, do absolutely nothing, and nobody needs me, asks me for anything or touches me.
THAT is rest.

Money buys a lot of extremely underrated things. Convenience. Time. Options. Privacy. Distance from nonsense.
Hardly slept last night. Tonsil flare up. The kids waking up at random times throughout.
Being a parent is an extreme sport. I find myself giggling in quiet moments because whether I'm sick or not, I have to always show up. Always!
