Do NOT be distracted. The violent responses of P🚫TUS have less to do with Tr🚫mp & more to do with the protection of systemic oppression. Do not make this about him.
I recommend Freire- Pedagogy of the Oppressed & Marcuse-The Problem of Violence & the Radical Opposition

Notice how they both unpack SYSTEMIC VIOLENCE.
I support all who struggle for justice.

How I am feeling 5 minutes before my first online lecture vs how I’m feeling 10 minutes after the lecture starts! 😂

But this is the real struggle of online teaching and learning! Things will go wrong. The technology will fail. But that is ok. Rather than trying to fake it, embrace it! Your vulnerability as an instructor displays an authenticity that connects with students. Connections matter. – at Toronto, Ontario
I hope you are doing ok.
Every single one of you who read this.

Old news. I’ve been live-streaming me playing cricket with my kids from my driveway for over a month on Facebook. – at Toronto, Ontario
I started volunteering with a local uni program that offers lectures to the retired community. My job is to help folks learn how to Zoom so they can attend their online lectures (thanks to Covid).
Today was day 1. It was magic.
Go do something nice for others. You won’t regret it
Pro Tip:
At 8:59am yell at the top of your lungs “please stand for the National Anthem” & then blast
“0 Canada”
Kids get straight to work & it will change the way you want to live your day✌️
Sing it too for maximum impact:
🗣God keep our land 💪🇨🇦
#lifehack #yourewelcome
My recent purchase of a green screen has forever changed how I Zoom for video conferencing & online lectures.
Smile everyone & be good to one another ✌️

Just thinking about @Buck & @TroyAikman calling the play by play of me trying to get my kids to do homework at the kitchen island while schools are closed is actually giving me life.
Amazing.
This is what I come to twitter for.
It’s an interesting read @tomrand
I just finished the hard copy. If you are in the Toronto area this summer & we aren’t still in lockdown I’d love to have you come to @yorkuniversity campus & chat with my 4th year students about it. I’m thinking about putting it on the syllabus

This is so cool. Thank you @SNETCampbell you=awesome!
I feel like this would be a great way for the players too to stay connected to the community. Why not have @Raptors @BlueJays @MapleLeafs @TorontoFC @TorontoArgos players call SSH and just say hello and have a 5 minute chat?
Thread: 1. It's a scary time, but older people may feel particularly isolated and alone. If your parents/grandparents are #BlueJays fans and you think their spirits would be raised by a phone call, send me a direct message with their name, number, and best time to call.
