Thanos believed eliminating half of all life would solve the universe’s resource problem, but his plan has a massive flaw.
He treated scarcity as if it were a permanent condition that could only be solved by removing people.
With the Infinity Stones, he possessed the power to reshape reality itself. He could have expanded resources, restored damaged ecosystems, or changed the conditions that created scarcity in the first place.
Instead, he chose mass extermination.
That is what makes Thanos interesting as a villain. His problem was not a lack of power or imagination. It was that he became so committed to his own conclusion that he stopped considering any other solution.

i'm a tailor's apprentice at a funeral home, and my one rule is that i never let a family see the suit before it's finished. last tuesday a boy in a clip-on tie came to the back room alone and asked me to sew a patch inside his grandpa's pocket...

The cashier had already scanned almost everything when I realized my bank card wasn't in my wallet.
I checked my pockets three times.
Nothing.
My groceries were sitting on the counter, people were waiting behind me, and I could feel myself getting embarrassed.
I told the cashier I'd have to leave everything and come back later.
Then the man behind me stepped forward.
Just add it to mine.
I turned around immediately.
I didn't know him.
He wasn't trying to flirt, he wasn't making a big deal about it, and he didn't even seem interested in getting thanked.
He simply paid for my groceries and told me, “It happens. Don't worry about it.”

I nearly sh*t my pants when Hannibal Lecter gets closer every time I watch it. Best movie villain?

For five years, my husband allowed his entire family to believe I was the reason he had left our home. They called me controlling, selfish, and a terrible wife. What none of them knew was that my husband had made the decision to leave long before I ever knew he was planning to go.
My husband, Marcus, and I had been married for fourteen years. We lived outside Atlanta, Georgia, with our two children, Jordan and Ava.
When Jordan was twelve, he began struggling with severe anxiety. Some mornings, he would get dressed for school, walk toward the front door, and suddenly break down crying. He couldn’t always explain what was wrong, and the more people pressured him to get over it, the worse things became.
I arranged appointments with his pediatrician, found a therapist, and worked with his school to help him cope.
Marcus thought I was making things worse.
“He’s never going to learn how to handle life if you keep treating him like he’s made of glass,” he would say.
“He’s twelve, Marcus. He’s struggling. He needs help, not another person telling him there’s something wrong with him.”
We argued about Jordan constantly.
Then Marcus received an offer for a management position in Texas. The salary was significantly better, and he insisted it was an opportunity our family couldn’t afford to turn down.
I wasn’t against the move. I simply wanted us to consider Jordan’s situation before uprooting both children.
I suggested that Marcus move first while the children and I stayed in Georgia until Jordan was doing better. We could make a permanent decision after a few months.
Marcus agreed.
At least, that’s what I thought.
Two weeks later, his mother called me and accused me of trying to sabotage her son’s career.
According to her, Marcus had begged me to move, and I had refused because I wanted to control his life.
I waited for him to correct her.
He never did.

Stellar has officially surpassed 70,000 code commits, with @chainspect_app reporting 70,111 commits for $XLM.
A code commit is a recorded change to a project's code. It can represent new features, bug fixes, or improvements made by developers.
Blockchains really need continuous work to improve their infrastructure, support new use cases, and remain competitive.
Of course, commit numbers alone don't prove adoption or guarantee price appreciation. But they do give us another metric to examine when evaluating the activity happening behind the scenes at Stellar.

What Happened to the Council of Kangs and Kang the Conqueror?
In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Kang the Conqueror was seemingly defeated in the Quantum Realm, but his story was far from resolved. The post credits scene revealed thousands of Kang variants gathering together, seemingly preparing for a multiversal war.
That moment felt like the beginning of something much bigger. Yet, we never saw the Council’s next move or learned what ultimately happened to Kang.
Did the Council begin its invasion, or did something disrupt its plans? And considering how dangerous Kang was supposed to be, was his defeat really the end of his story?
Marvel built up an entire multiversal threat, but where did it all go?

These 2008 images show Daniel Craig and Andy Cohen on a group beach holiday in St. Barts with friends, including Craig’s then girlfriend.
The casual, playful poses reflect a relaxed private vacation, not any special relationship.
Nearly twenty years later, treating old paparazzi shots like a “Bond mission” ignores that context and turns ordinary holiday moments into unfounded speculation.
Public figures’ candid photos deserve straightforward reading based on the facts of the time.

My friend canceled our MONTHS-planned vacation three days before departure because a guy she'd just started dating invited her away for the weekend. We'd already booked flights and split a NONREFUNDABLE hotel room. I was disappointed, but it was her choice. Then I asked about her half of the hotel. "But you'll still be staying there," she said. WAIT, WHAT?! She expected me to cover the ENTIRE cost! I explained I'd only chosen that hotel because we were splitting it.
