📢Guide to Submitting and Mentioning a Report-Based Account❗️
In an effort to avoid increasing the visibility and traffic of hate posts toward 🐹, please follow and remember the steps below:
1. Do not directly mention (@) a report-based account under or while quoting a hate post.
— Besides potentially boosting the visibility of the hate post, there may be a few consequences:
⤷ Some users may become aware that they are being monitored and end up locking their accounts/go private to protect their accounts. This may delay or even reduce the effectiveness of reporting efforts.
⤷ On the other hand, some users may enjoy the attention they receive and become encouraged or even "big head" by the engagement they got from their posts.
⤷ Direct mentions may encourage other users to interact with the hate post, leading to increased engagement. This can increase the risk of attracting additional hate trains from antis or other haters.
2. Recommended alternative option:
You can simply send the hate post to the report-based account via DM. This is the safest way to share the information while keeping the process private.
3. You can also mention a report-based account publicly by sharing only the account link.

(Whether or not with context doesn't matter. As long as the account is public, we can go through their profile and find the relevant post ourselves.)

These situations are real proof of what happens when people overclaim a normal interaction, create narratives from unsure assumptions and unverified conversations, upload them online, and gain engagement. It turns into timeline discourse, fuels fanwars, and ultimately results in harassment toward the ARTIST, not anyone else.
We often remind people to be mindful of what they choose to upload. In situations like this, protecting the artist's image should come first.
💬 Being a fan is supposed to be fun, yes. It's about enjoying the music, the content the group creates, moments like fansign, fan meetings, and especially concerts. Those are the experiences that bring fans together.
On the other side, there's social media. The social online environment nowadays is very different from what it was a few years ago. Many things that were once seen as "just jokes" are now often taken out of context or used in bad faith.
As targeted harassment has become more common and organised, the risk of harmless content being weaponised has also increased. We can't ignore the growing number of haters and antis, or the many ways they manipulate edits, screenshots, and fan-made content to spread hate and harassment against the group and each member.
Because of that, fans especially those who have a public account & spend a lot of time online should be more aware of what they choose to post. It's no longer just about whether something is funny within a fan space, but also whether it can be easily misused outside of it.
It's about understanding today's online environment and recognising that some content, even when shared with good intentions, can end up contributing to the very harassment we're trying to prevent. As fans, being mindful of what we share is one of the ways we can support them.
