I’ve let too many people into the home of me. Too many people who have decorated and left it all after they were gone. When the last one left, I really looked around. And realized. There was nothing of me left. My home was longer my own.
Some people really are meant to come into your life and then leave it. Let them. Let go. Some people really are meant to come into your life and not stay. Hold onto those who do. Who are meant to. Who feel like they are meant to. You’ll know.
You’ll know.
I’m still working on letting go gently. I’m still not very good at keeping my tar-dipped hands off of porcelain skin.
