They did drain crypto keys that were in Railway. Seems like an okay sweeper script (read: not something homegrown for this one op) Attacker: 0xd9773325282874d18cb83f1fe50f14c39750b2ee ~$371,000 Oct 21 19:36 UTC 500+ txns 200+ distict addresses 19+ EVM chains

Just use AWS at this point PaaS like Railway offer an abstraction over AWS (they use AWS) but in 2026, it's really not that complicated to deploy directly to AWS My recommendation: 1. Create Docker image 2. Store image on AWS ECR 3. Deploy on AWS ECS

just got royally fucked by this so you're telling me i pay railway every month to keep my secrets safe, and now i have to rotate every single one of them myself except all deployments are paused, so if i rotate now my app breaks, and if i don't, someone else might have my keys fml, what's a good alternative to railway? gotta move before i scale my app any further

Your Terraform code can take the image tag as an input variable to deploy your app 1. Create Github workflow 2. Workflow triggers manually 3. Provide new image tag as input 4. Github runs Terraform plan 5. You review plan if you care 6. Otherwise straight deploy to ECS
