I'm glad I can stop mainlining election results and switch over to mainlining election memes.

Omg! Yesterday while playing a CTF I tried to use IDA to fix a switch statement. It worked! But the graph view went completely bonkers on me. It looks like the conspiracy theory meme!!! 😂 (also right click and layout graph "fixed" this beautiful mistake)

@BSidesPDX CTF is officially over. Thank you to everyone that played! In 1st place we have @OSUSecClub, they have won @BSidesPDX CTF for the 2nd year in a row now. And like last year, they solved all but 1 challenge.

As a software engineer, I am deeply pragmatic. I don’t think it’s going to be productive trying to shame progressives into voting for Biden. If we want to beat Trump, let’s try to ADD to our coalition by making everyone feel like they have a stake in voting.
This is a sad commentary by @krystalball. It comes from a place of privilege that one can afford to leave it blank.

Python2 is finally being deprecated and thus becomes illegal. The binary string handling was too powerful and resulted in many many exploit scripts. Forcing attackers to move to python3 or ruby will have massive positive impact on defense!
Obviously the answer to this offensive tools debate is that no infosec tools should ever be made public and all existing ones should be removed from the internet.

1/6: Thanks again to everyone that played in the BSidesPDX CTF! All writeups have been pushed to the repo: github.com/BSidesPDX/CTF-201… Sure, winning is always nice, but the most important part of a CTF is that you learned something.
