For a second, imagine that black students at Columbia were taunted with chants of "Go back to Africa."
Or imagine that a gay student at Yale was surrounded by homophobic protesters and hit in the eye with a flagpole.
Or imagine if a campus imam told Muslim students that they ought to head home for Ramadan because campus public safety could not guarantee their security.
There would be relentless fury from our media and condemnation from our politicians.
Just remember the righteous—and rightful—outrage over the white supremacist “Unite the Right” march in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, where neo-Nazis chanted “The Jews will not replace us.”
This weekend at Columbia and Yale, student demonstrators did all of the above—only it was directed at Jews. They told Columbia students to “go back to Poland.” A Jewish woman at Yale was assaulted with a Palestinian flag. And an Orthodox rabbi at Columbia told students to go home for their safety.

Don’t drain your heart, soul, and pockets.
You don’t need to build an audience and then sell.
The typical route is:
Start building a newsletter → Grow it to a certain audience (5K or 10K+) → Start selling sponsorships, ads, etc.
This is an uphill battle.
Here’s why:
You don’t make $$ for a long time.
You’re paying for your list.
What to do instead?
Focus on monetization first.
Have something to sell from the start.
Something like:
• DIY course
• Coaching
• Consulting
• DFY service
• SaaS tool or app
… Anything
Why?
Because:
Having an offer → Clarity
Clarity → Quality subscribers
Quality subscribers → $$ from the start
$$ from the start → Fuel for list growth
And then?
You can always sell sponsorships and ads as you grow to a certain level.

My heart is broken.
The IDF has just confirmed that at least 32 of the 136 hostages still in Gaza are dead.
That is more than one fifth of the innocent people Hamas snatched from the Supernova music festival, from civilian homes, from the streets of Israel.
Each one was so many things to so many people: Mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, sisters, brothers, friends. Each one had a story, a life, dreams, plans, goals, all of which will never come to fruition because of Hamas’ hate and brutality.
I pray for each and every one of their families, and that their memories will forever be a blessing.

This morning, the IDF delivered 300 liters of fuel to the Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Hamas refused to permit the fuel to be used by the hospital. There is audio and visual evidence confirming this fact. Hamas is at war with the Palestinian people.
