The palace was built neither by politicians nor with taxpayers' money, unlike in present times. Mind you, the Wodeyars of Mysuru were the first kingdom to give up their kingship when India became a republic. They built Mysuru & not you. Such landlord behaviour for no good reason!

who genuinely thinks it’s a good idea to tell the native majority that they’re nothing without migrants, as if an entire population’s worth and identity depend on the presence of outsiders? 💀
no wonder everyone’s becoming an olata
Banglore’s economy is because of migrant people - they aspire to grow and they are the reason for real estate boom .
Kannadiga builders and real estate dons and so many political families benefited because of it .
Send all migrants back - and u will be left with empty streets and zero economy .
So they will just do chest thumping here - but will never actually do it .

The Underdiscussed Question of Kannadigas’ Representation in Higher Education
Discrimination against Kannadigas in Karnataka’s IT sector is a recurring public concern. Yet, a similar question deserves greater scrutiny in another important sector: private, autonomous, and deemed universities in Karnataka.
There is a growing concern that Kannadigas remain underrepresented not only in faculty and non-teaching positions but also in the senior academic and administrative leadership of institutions operating in their own state.
More importantly, the concern goes beyond numbers. Are informal networks, entrenched institutional circles, and insider relationships shaping who gets recruited, who advances, and who reaches positions of authority?
There is an established outsider-dominated network which operates within parts of the higher education system, influencing recruitment, professional advancement, and access to leadership in ways that prevent qualified Kannadigas from becoming part of the institutional mainstream.
These networks exist, and raises questions about institutional culture, the transparency of recruitment and promotion, and whether opportunities are genuinely accessible to qualified native professionals.
We must ask some uncomfortable but necessary questions:
What proportion of faculty members and non-teaching staff in Karnataka’s private and deemed universities are Kannadigas?
How many Kannadigas occupy positions such as Head of Department, Dean, Registrar, Director, Principals and Vice-Chancellor?
Are recruitment and promotion processes transparent, merit-based, and free from informal networks that favour particular groups?
Do qualified native professionals have equal access to leadership opportunities, or do institutional networks repeatedly reproduce the same circles of influence?
Are universities accountable to the academic communities and society in which they operate?
When qualified Kannadigas struggle to gain representation, recognition, and leadership opportunities in institutions located in Karnataka, we must examine whether structural or informal barriers are at work.
Merit should not be determined by proximity to influential networks. Recruitment should not depend on who knows whom. Leadership should not become the preserve of a closed circle of outsiders.
Kannadigas should not merely be present in Karnataka’s higher education institutions; they should have a fair opportunity to shape, lead, and transform them.
The question is not whether outsiders should be welcome. The question is whether local talent is being given a fair chance to participate in the mainstream of its own state’s institutions.
Karnataka’s higher education sector must protect the interests of Kannadigas by enabling transparency in its processes, and equitable in its opportunities.

These migrants are regionalist in their state but nationalist in Karnataka.

Every Indian should stand against the regional fanatism that happens in Karnataka now and then .
Every state capital belongs to every Indian - they can live and thrive in the way they want !
