“High risk” deserves careful evaluation—not automatic rejection.
For implant placement in the submandibular fossa region, the discussion should focus on patient-specific anatomy, CBCT planning, protection of vital structures, and documented long-term outcomes.
I welcome criticism grounded in evidence. A successful case does not establish universal safety, just as anatomical risk alone does not settle every clinical decision.
Respect the anatomy. Assess the evidence. Put the patient first.
**Sinus Lift vs. Shift**
🔹 **Sinus Lift:** Elevates the sinus membrane upward to create space for bone augmentation and implant placement.
🔹 **Sinus Shift:** Guides the drill along the palatal sinus wall, gently displacing the membrane sideways. This controlled lateral movement aims to reduce membrane tension and minimize perforation risk.
