Language is a personal thing, some people will identify as being a disabled person and some will prefer person with a disability. Majority of disabled folks don’t use euphemisms, because they know it’s a neutral term so no need to sugarcoat it as it doesn’t need sweetening!

(1/2) At Inclusion London we welcome @TfL's new commitments to:
- Increase step-free access to tube stations
- Train staff in Disability Equality
- Increase provision of accessible toilets
& more. These changes, if made, will break down barriers to safe and independent travel.
We’re on a journey to create a fairer, more accessible and inclusive transport network for all 🚇 👍
Equity in Motion is our ambitious new plan to ensure as many Londoners as possible can access and benefit from public transport.

Braille, invented by Louis Braille in the 1800s, is more than dots. It's a lifeline for the blind, transforming touch into text. Ever notice those dots on signs and packaging? They're there to make the world readable for people like me. #BrailleBringsClarity #InclusiveWorld

Street curbs create issues for many disabled people
They cause trips and falls, can be painful for wheelchair users to bump up and down and in some instances make it impossible to access pavements and roads safely
So, how could we make street curbs better?
I’ll go first…

We’re excited to share that we're uniting our 900-year-old charity’s bridges & #funding teams under a new name, City Bridge Foundation.
Our new identity will help tell our story with greater clarity, as a world-class bridge owner and London’s biggest independent charity funder.

Ticket offices at train stations aren't just a place to pay your fare.
They are vital hubs of information, advice and support to help many, including disabled people, navigate our rail network.
A rail network which, frankly, isn't always highly accessible. (1/2)
🚨Ticket office closure consultations have now gone live.
Take action now. Use our template letter to OBJECT and stop these unjust plans in their tracks.
These disastrous plans cannot be allowed to go through.
