When will Nigeria wake up?
I mean, social media has become a problem for us because what exactly have we done with all the information we’ve gathered on this space?
Every day, we expose corruption, discuss injustice, trend hashtags and express our anger. But what has really changed?
We need to understand that social media trends/protests alone will not chase these hardened criminals out of Government House.
Even when we come out to protest, a little tear gas from the police sends everyone running. Instead of preparing ourselves for the possibility of attacks and learning how to protect ourselves and respond safely to tear gas, we keep making the same mistakes.
We have seen young students in countries like France stand their ground during protests despite the use of tear gas. So why do we keep going into protests without adequately preparing for the challenges we already know we may face?
I'm not saying people should put their lives at unnecessary risk. But if we already know that peaceful protests may be met with force, shouldn't we be better organised, better informed and better prepared to protect ourselves?
We cannot keep repeating the same approach and expecting a different result.
At what point do we move beyond social media outrage and begin taking sustained, organised action to demand accountability?
When will Nigerians wake up?

I initially thought this thing was a fluke or minor glitch or something.
I had emailed INEC immediately i got home that day to inform them of the duplicate record, even though the officials that came said it would be rectified. I never got a response.
Since then i’ve always been checking from the voter verification portal to confirm when the registration would have reflected. It never did.
What i cannot seem to wrap my head around is how my identity, most especially my National Identification Number (NIN) that is meant to be exclusive to me was showing on the duplicate record when i was registering. And why even after i was assured it would be rectified, it wasn’t.
How is it that i’m not on the register, but the fake person using my identity is on the register? This is a whole new level of identity theft. Please look into this.

I’m just going to say this for the record. The day i went to register for my permanent voters card after inputing my details and thumb printing. The system showed a duplicate record, same surname, first name, middle name, date of birth, state and NIN. The only difference was the picture, gender (F) and different LGA (Isiala Mbano)
One of officials that came to register us said it was a coincidence, that two people can bear the exact same name. Which i objected to immediately. Even if that was the case, my understanding is that my National Identification Number (NIN) is exclusive to me only, so how come we both had the same NIN.
They went ahead to register me and give me my print out with my VIN, and i was assured that they’ll rectify it. (i registered around May/June)
Ever since then i’ve been checking from the voter verification portal to find out when my registration would reflect, and it never reflected even after PVC distribution started, as i wanted to know if my PVC was ready for collection. ( I was told i’d get a mail or SMS to that effect. It never received any)
I’ve now checked the voter register, and i still cannot find my name on the voter register, meanwhile the duplicate identity which was using my government name, and issued NIN as well as all my other details which i was told would be rectified is on the voter register.
Please kindly rectify this immediately. How excatly was my details and exclusive identifcation number’s used to register a woman i have no idea who she is.
PS: The reason i’m able to check for her on the voter register, is because i still remember the LGA, Ward and Polling unit i saw on INEC registration Tablet/Device when they showed me the duplicate, eventhough they didn’t allow me snap the screen.
I would have also attached my VIN number to this message, but i’m not sure if it’s something confidential that i’m not supposed to share in public.

The reason the current INEC chairman Josh Amuputian delayed to release the voters register is because they have perfected plans with APC to Duplicate as many names as possible for multiple voting, flooding the register with AI generated information.
This is advanced level vote layering.

The only reason an institution like @inecnigeria would create voter records for AI personas is to enable potential vote dumping and manipulate results while an election is still ongoing. What other justification could there be? This is becoming scary.
