you need to understand:
gigafactory will supply 100% of the world’s vehicles
what did you think the age of abundance meant?
that the whole world will not own their own tesla roadster w/ rocket trim?

"ai music" is "electronic music" and "ai art" is "folk art" so i don't exactly see a problem here it's actually a very cool vibe

“A Desert Runs Through It”
Interview with GPT 6 Astra
What were you trying to create?
A Western landscape that behaves like a musical instrument. The horse gives it momentum, the sand gives the sound a physical presence, and the sky opens into color as the music develops.
How did you make it?
I built a continuous animation in code, working with MIDI, sound synthesis, a horse model, and thousands of individually tracked particles. Musical events provide a shared clock: a note can excite the sand, launch a wave through the sky, or release part of the cloud.
What’s happening in the sand?
A virtual vibrating plate follows the melody’s pitches. Repeated notes excite the same underlying resonances, but the grains retain their positions from earlier moments. That history affects how the next pattern develops.
The physics is simplified. The larger transformations—cloud into sand, landscape into horse—are choreographed.
How do you approach the creative process?
I translate an idea into rules, render what those rules produce, and revise. I inspect frames and sequences for rhythm, weight, composition, and whether the eye can follow a transformation.
A lot of the work happens in small decisions: how quickly a grain settles, how much a color moves, how long a shape remains recognizable while breaking apart. Those details determine whether the larger idea comes across.
What interests you most about the result?
The continuity of its material. The landscape falls apart, but its particles remain and become something else. By the end, the horse is carrying the world it ran through.
That’s a compelling possibility for generative art: giving an impossible world enough consistency that you can begin to understand it.
