🚨 Declan Rice on what happened with Morgan Rogers during Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea: 🎙️ Reporter: “Declan, Morgan Rogers said you fouled him from behind and then told him, ‘We are the champions.’ What’s your response?” 🗣️ Declan Rice: “I understand why he was angry, but I think he’s taken it a little too seriously. “I clipped his heel, yes. It was a foul, the referee didn’t give it and we moved on. I wasn’t trying to hurt him. “When he came over complaining, I just said, ‘We are the champions.’ It was banter. It’s a football match, there’s emotion, there’s rivalry. I wasn’t standing there trying to disrespect Morgan as a person. “I respect him, I think he’s a fantastic player. But if you’re going to get angry every time an opponent says something to you on the pitch, you’re going to have a very long season. “Maybe he doesn’t like it, that’s fine. But I’m not going to apologise for competing, getting under someone’s skin and trying to win a football match. “After the final whistle, it’s finished. I shake his hand and we move on.”
