I was honoured to testify before the 🇨🇦 Parliament’s Sub Committee on International Human Rights, and speak about the future of conflict, the impact of transformative technologies and threats to internally displaced groups globally.
The future of conflict is increasingly data-driven.
Authoritarian regimes no longer just weaponize armies. They weaponize data.
Biometrics. Border records. Digital identities.
Beijing and other authoritarian states understand that information systems can become instruments of coercion, displacement, and control.
Canada must lead with democratic safeguards before governance falls behind technology.
