the “ghost chain” criticism on cardano isn’t wrong… it’s just aimed at the wrong thing.
it’s not that nobody’s building. there are builders are shipping actual innovative shit with real product market fit.
the actual ghost chain reality is this:
the vast majority of $ADA holders just stake their bags and do nothing else.
no DeFi. definitely not touching new innovative products.
the meager amount of people who do use cardano DeFi? They’re only interested in copy/pasta DEXes, lending/borrowing and perps from other chains. that’s it.
which is exactly why only like 3 dApps can actually generate meaningful revenue from cardano users right now.
teams (including @fluxpointstudio) have to lean on Web2 revenue because there simply isn’t enough on-chain activity yet. that or they close up shop (just 3 off the top of my head @jpgstoreNFT @Oraclecharli3 @TapTools… trust me there are several more I know of personally but they just haven’t publicly announced yet)
so when people say “only support/invest in the dApps that are making revenue today”… that’s a stupid ass take. sorry not sorry.
given the current state of cardano DeFi and the governance shit show backing INFRA ALL THE WAY! expecting every builder to be instantly profitable from cardano activity alone is how you kill innovation before it has a chance to grow the pie.
we need to back teams actually shipping useful products that create real usage. even if they’re bootstrapping revenue… or we’re just gonna keep fighting over the same tiny crumbs forever.
we are just cooking ourselves.

UNPOPULAR OPINION
origin of the code is irrelevant. human or AI, the only questions that matter are:
does it do the job correctly and efficiently enough for the use case?
has it survived real scrutiny (tests, reviews, red-teaming, pen-testing, iteration until it’s green)?
will it not explode in production or become unmaintainable garbage in six months?
..if yes, then the “AI code smell” complaint is just gatekeeping with extra steps. I’ve seen plenty of “beautiful” hand written code by seniors that was elegant, idiomatic… and subtly broken in ways that only surfaced under load or edge cases.
also seen AI slop that shipped faster, passed the same checks, and made money. results win.
gtfo out of my face with that elitism bullshit.

Voting is open for proposals submitted via Intersect. 🗳
Including the Indigo Innovation Proposal.
If you believe Cardano should fund institutional-grade tokenized RWAs, BTC DeFi, Midnight privacy rails, & revenue share model to the Treasury, now is the time to support! 💪
intersect.ekklesia.vote/ball…
Hydra Voting for the 2026 Budget Process is now open.
From today until 12 June, DReps can review and vote on proposals submitted through the Intersect budget process using the Hydra Voting platform.
Over the past weeks, proposers, reviewers, DReps, and community members have contributed feedback, discussion, and refinements across a wide range of proposals. That review phase has now concluded, and proposals are locked ahead of voting.
To progress through the process, proposals must reach:
✅ 67% approval of participating stake within Ekklesia
Community discussion remains open throughout voting and can continue helping inform DRep decision-making.
If you are participating in governance:
• review proposals carefully
• engage with proposers
• ask questions
• contribute constructively
Governance participation is strongest when informed by open discussion and active community engagement.
📅 Voting closes: 12 June 2026 - 12:00 UTC

We had a ton of great discussions on expanding APAC, gaming, and the future of onchain RWAs and TCGs with builders from across the region.
Shoutout to all speakers @BrianHong, @0xMeow0130, @HeyNat, and @bbbbammee, for bringing their valuable ideas to the event.

The challenge for DReps is to balance the budget so that IO can continue developing the protocol while adequately supporting the ecosystem.
Without builders, there will be no DeFi and services. Without users, Cardano is not economically sustainable.
We need a bucket system.

cMATRA is the Cardano-native representation of $MATRA, the governance and application-layer payment token of the Materios partner-chain (runtime extrinsic fees are paid in MOTRA, a separate per-block gas token). 1 billion total supply, 6 decimals. You can use your Gold as a collateral on Fluid 👇
→ Lock your $fGLD
→ Borrow available liquidity against it
→ Use that liquidity across Cardano DeFi
→ Repay the loan plus interest
→ Unlock your fGLD again
Possible on Cardano, possible on FluidTokens.

Cardano is primed to succeed in the DeFi market where risk-weighted yield is valued above all else.
We need to lock in, focus on preserving the economic safety of LPs. The golden rule, the LP is king. We need financial instruments like RealFi, Liqwid, SundaeSwap LinearSwap pools where the rule of thumb is "LPs must never lose money". We need dApp interoperability, LP tokens from each dApp must be able to be swapped, used as collateral, or provided as liquidity, on other dApps.
Replying to @mattpiz @dannyribar
Yes, thus my emphasis on how LPs primary decision factor is "risk-weighted yield". The problem with convincing LPs to choose one dApp over another on the basis of security is that you need concrete data, otherwise it won't resonate. The abstract technical security arguments are very hard to land on LPs, Aave was considered the ideal perfect DeFi app for the past few years, true fully on-chain governance, system designed from the ground up to prioritize the safety of LP funds, dynamic rates that adjust with demand and provide additional economic security, a massive multimillion dollar reserve for insurance against exploit risk, 6 independent smart contract audits from the most well respected auditing firms in the entire blockchain space, and so on; pristine track record of no exploits. The same was true about most other blue-chip DeFi protocols. But now, things are very different, the cracks are showing, blue-chip dApps are being hacked left and right, and the goal no longer requires convincing LPs about highly technical security tradeoffs it's as simple as showing them concretely the absence of exploits on our dApps.
The caveat is that there are two types of risk, if smart contract and contagion risks are lower, but economic market risk is higher (ie. lenders and LPs are not sufficiently protected, illiquid assets are allowed as collateral, automatic liquidations are not fast enough in during flash crashes, DEXs don't support concentrated liquidity, stableswap pools aren't actually stable, and so on) then even if smart contract and contagion risks are lower LPs may assess risk-weighted yield opportunities here as bad.
So, yes, we definitely can attract LPs with slightly lower (or even meaningfully lower, 20-25%) yield, if TOTAL risk to LPs is lower (including smart contract risk, contagion risk, and market risks).
Prioritize:
LPs cannot lose money (due to market / smart contract risk / contagion risk / exploits)
Then:
How much yield LPs make
Then:
outputs of this dApp can be used as inputs in another yield generating dApp
Then:
the opportunity cost (lockup / deposit / withdrawal fees / dApp fees)

If CF won't use the applications on Cardano or engage with Cardano DeFi, then why would anyone else?
Replying to @alxaex @NicolasC3rny
It doesn't matter what CF is asking money for, it matters what CF is spending money on.
CF continues to spend money in the same exact domains as the CAP tracks above, and on the CAP itself.
Traceability: Reeve
Identity: Veridian
...
The Brick Towers & DFX swiss pilot, where once again CF paid institutions to adopt Cardano to deliver a pilot with zero users, zero demand, and zero on-chain transactions. Go read the case study.
Significant investment into MembersCap so that tokens issued through Archax on Cardano can trade inside their regulated framework (KYC, so forth).
I don't know if you guys know this, but we have something called decentralized exchanges on Cardano, and there you can trade any token without middleman fees, without the risk of your funds vaporizing due to corporate fraud or negligence (FTX, Celsius). And the great thing about these decentralized exchanges is that they are already building on Cardano, aligned with Cardano, they already have users, revenue, volume, and contribute to Cardano KPIs. Why would anyone want to trade RWAs or tokenized assets inside a regulated exchange on a blockchain when they already can trade those assets on their preferred non-blockchain financial instruments, cheaper, faster, and with better UX and support? Did anyone look at the TAM of this? The total volume? The number of users on such platforms compared to Uniswap, Curve, or Raydium?
All of this money evaporates into thin air with zero users, and CF continues to blow their runway paying enterprises and institutions year after year without any traction, meanwhile leaving all our DeFi apps out to slowly die.
CF has hundreds of millions of Ada. Do you know what they are not doing with it? Literally anything. Ethereum foundation deployed $120M into DeFi lending protocols in 2025 alone, earned money for themselves, supported their dApp ecosystem, and demonstrated that indeed you can do more with ETH than just dump it.
CF just accumulates staking rewards then sells for USD / BTC or other assets to pay for their runway or whatever enterprise they are greasing up. What statement does that make to others about how they should use their Ada? Why would any liquidity provider deploy capital on Cardano if the Cardano foundation doesn't? Why would anyone actually use the applications on our chain if the Cardano foundation doesn't?
