Age Poom 💙💛

Over the weekend, we celebrated the 105th anniversary of the Department of Geography in our beloved Vanemuise 46!

This week, we met with Merit Tatar (@IBS_Estonia) and Kertu Vuks (Tartu City Government) to plan our @DNSUNSET collaboration, including the secondments of PhD researchers Ahmed Rezk and Michele Donnini, focusing on crisis preparedness and sustainable mobility.

Delft and Utrecht welcomed us this week to meet with V2G-QUESTS project partners and discuss vehicle-to-grid solutions linked to car-sharing or major renovation. Age and Daiga presented ongoing research in Tartu but there was so much to learn from real-life advances in Utrecht!

The absolute highlight of this week's social action at work was celebrating Ago's and Hanna-Ingrid's recent marriage! Warmest congratulations, dear friends and colleagues! 😍💖🎊

Meet our new PhD researchers, Ahmed Atia Rezk and Michele Donnini, who just started their studies within the @DNSUNSET: mobilitylab.ut.ee/blog/a-new… With the supervisory team of Kati Orru, @agepoom, @aveliina, Marketta Kyttä and @NFrantzeskaki, we warmly welcome them to the network!

We're back! The new study year started with some fun gatherings yesterday, and we kicked off our lab meeting series today. Happy to welcome Michele Donnini, our new PhD candidate, and @OlenaHol, a visiting researcher, in Tartu! Wish you a productive and enjoyable academic year!

Last week we gathered for our annual summer seminar at Kooraste, enjoying inspiring talks, lively discussions, and plenty of cake. Kristi Grišakov shared insights on urban planning! #urbanplanning #MobilityResearch
