🇨🇳 In China, elderly people are hiring “temporary children” to visit, deliver meals, accompany them to hospitals, give emotional support and offer companionship. The companionship economy is estimated at $7.4 billion. As families shrink and children move away for work, loneliness is becoming an industry. Will this industry emerge here also?

An earthen diya that burns for 24–40 hours without electricity, batteries or manual refilling! 🪔 Ashok Chakradhari, a potter from Chhattisgarh, has created a self-refilling lamp using a simple oil reservoir and clay tube to keep the flame burning. A beautiful example of Indian ingenuity, where tradition meets innovation. 🇮🇳

When someone commits a heinous crime, the first response should be empathy & an attempt to understand the larger problem. Not finding a convenient scapegoat in cinema. It is becoming increasingly clear that your concern is not for the victims or their families, but that you're using a horrific tragedy as a dirty excuse to settle your personal scores. This is especially directed at those failed frustrated jobless male/female actors, few directors, producers & parasites, who suddenly appoint themselves as social reformers whenever an opportunity arises to take a dig at someone else's work. A tragedy deserves empathy 🙏, not opportunism. Learn the difference.

If someone behaves negatively towards you, it helps to remember that he or she is a human being like you and to distinguish between an action and the person who does it. If counter measures are needed to prevent someone doing harm, it's always better to do it with a calm rather than an agitated mind. If you act out of anger, the best part of your brain fails to function. Remember, compassion is not a sign of weakness.

An employee who worked closely with Elon Musk for four years revealed that he had seen Elon working in the office countless times at 1, 2, even 3 a.m. Elon works every waking hour. He doesn’t go out for lunch or dinner. He mostly has his food brought into meetings and eats while the meeting continues. As the richest person on the planet, he could be anywhere in the world, relaxing on a yacht and enjoying his wealth. Instead, he keeps showing up at the office, working late, and giving his precious time to building a better future for humanity. Huge respect for Elon. The dedication he puts into building a better future deserve far more recognition.
i sometimes wonder where we'd be if Steve Jobs were still here and the obvious truth is that he would've contributed significantly to the current evolution of intelligence & technology for everyone, but especially so for our country and his own companies like Apple. the same is true of Elon and I'm saying this because there are a lot of ppl trying to tear Elon down, but in reality he is doing more than anyone to make the world better for humanity—enabling free speech via X (and nearly losing everything to do it), electric cars (& robots soon) to cut our dependence on gas & reduce air pollution via Tesla, supplying internet everywhere even 3rd world countries via Starlink, space & multiplanetary exploration via SpaceX, advancing intelligence via SpaceXSI, drastically improving the lives of people with disabilities via Neuralink, all while employing hundreds of thousands of ppl in our country. regardless of your politics, anyone can agree these are very good net positives for the world. i've had the honor of working for him these past four years and can confirm I've personally seen him countless times working at 1-2-even 3am, meeting with us to understand core problems from first principles and enabling us to make improvements all around. I learned in 4 years what would've taken me a decade, along with the ability to adapt extremely quickly while optimizing for maximum usefulness & product experience. I am grateful because I've seen him work firsthand when he could be on a super yacht, but instead he is working harder than ever to solve existential problems for all of us. Elon is our modern day Thomas Edison—America and all of humanity should be proud. thank you, E. ❤️🇺🇸

An MIT Media Lab study suggests that relying on ChatGPT may weaken memory, attention and analytical engagement. Students who wrote independently before using AI showed stronger brain connectivity and better recall. The lesson? Think first, use AI second. God help my brains! 😀

The Indian startup ecosystem is on steroids. And what excites me most is that this isn’t just about software. It’s about deeptech. Manufacturing technology. Hardcore hardware. Cutting-edge chemical processes. A new generation of Indian entrepreneurs is building the capabilities that could allow us to leapfrog entire stages of technological development. These videos, courtesy @ashleevance & @RuntimeBRT, offer just a glimpse of what’s being cooked up in labs, workshops & factories across India. And right on cue, Rajan Anandan, former head of Google India, & Saurabh Srivastava, one of India’s pioneering entrepreneurs & institution builders, have released a book calling India a ‘Lift-Off Nation.’ An apt description. Because I believe the world is about to witness a tidal wave of technological innovation emerging from India. And it’s being powered by young entrepreneurs who are daring to build things we once assumed could only be built elsewhere. My salute to them. #MondayMotivation
