Now is a great time to thank the heavens that the Library of Congress is virtually alone among large federal organizations that are NOT under the Executive Branch. They are the library *of Congress*, so Trump and Musk can’t fire everyone, shut it down, or whatever.

Violent men will find any weapon they can to exact the harm they wish to inflict on women, and whilst I support moves to restrict access to crossbows, the focus must be on the escalating acts of abuse preceding murder. I have found this frankly wonderful archive of a Northern Ireland primary #school disco in the 1960s while working on a report and it might be the best thing I’ve ever seen.
