what's the likelihood of controlling a system where hawke's processes are significant s.t. that it's stationary or at least has "steerable drift?" is it possible to estimate level of effort/control required? effects on society & culture? #accelerationism arxiv.org/html/2405.10527v1

Interesting project, but holy crap, there's HTML in the subroutines. Visualizing [Modern] Fortran Projects with fpm: github.com/davidpfister/fpm-…

Can it classify properties of graphs based on visual input? (or at least explain it? lol) Source of 3rd pic: medium.com/analytics-vidhya/…

ROCm for a #Spack cluster: rocm.blogs.amd.com/software-… The blog should probably be a printed insert included in the box of every AMD GPU sold (esp for linux users) Basically, each of @NVidia's APIs has a similar @AMDROCm API. Like Coke's #MelloYellow to Pepsi's #MountainDew.

"6. LiteLLM: an AI tool downloaded 3.4 million times a day was poisoned with a password stealer" obvious thing is obvious "... if we're worried about AI hording energy and zealously minimizing human energy consumption, then .... um the first thing AI will go for is tokens"

LLM and its wild rube goldberg python script suggestions... lmao that's nice. this python script has to live somewhere. I'm just looking for advice & CLI names/options. The last screenshot has the answer, if you read between the lines (no, you don't want that many blend files)

But you absolutely can ask a genie to create 1,000 fantasia.blend files The collection export feature is works well other formats.

#SocialNorms are often dumb. Smart to know about, but usually dumb when blindly copy/pasted (into words/actions) Especially true, given rates for - "alpha": describing change responding to diffusion of information through networks - acceleration of tech with lagging culture

Most dysfunction in newsfeed comes from: - design that correct for sparsity - feedback loops from UI/UX or algorithm hacking - feedback loops from users un/conscious developing/following "norms" - dimensionality of features (more dims of bins, more low-frequency occurances)

Who has the most power to define "norms" for technology? ... social media companies (& marketers) They're ahead of curve, have analytics no one else does, & must develop user behavior "typologies" Designing for "safety" is not too orthogonal from designing for cultural response

I hate social media. It doesn’t do anything except create distance, which creates imbalance. it seriously sucks There like maybe five people I actually know who I’ve interacted with on Twitter It’s impossible to interact with people who understand whatever esoteric goals I have

My interest/passion is usually misinterpreted. I guess. Idk. I need an IRL job but there are only ever 2-3 acceptable positions. Plenty of defense jobs … but I’m kinda rumored insane so nope, Roanoke would not have that It’s sad… but that gets old

Very difficult to meet people with similar interests AND free time. It’s a demographic/valence issue. Smarter people are more pinned down & less accessible Gotta choose between giving up everything I wanted to do and I guess failing at socializing with alcohol

This bot has not managed to contact a living songwriter yet… but otherwise alright
Kinda unnerved unleashing this but it's inevitable if Claudia is going to be the Hatsune Miku of the SI era, right? instagram.com/claudiathepops… (Instagram is for girls)

Great. Now I’ve been warped directly to “drug twitter” Thanks so much, algorithm. Sure, put the autistic kid onto drug twitter. That probably helps a lot

It’s the other way around. Goals/direction give rise to property (your life’s potential becomes attached) If AI completely takes that away and nothing replaces it, you don’t really have anything except your biological clocks Notice the conditional there (if) It’s very likely
life should be about more than the parasite

What do you mean, second brain? If you never had a first?
It is becoming f*cking dangerous: when Anthropic released this, they didn't even realize what a massive chain reaction they were triggering 1. Set up a folder called SECOND BRAIN on your computer 2. Open Claude Code inside that directory and configure GWS CLI to give it access to your Google Drive, Gmail, and Calendar 3. Make a new subfolder named MEMORY inside the root folder 4. Add a CLAUDE.md file to the root directory with instructions to log all critical context inside the MEMORY folder 5. Download and install Graphify from GitHub to connect your notes into a knowledge graph 6. Set up Playwright so Claude gets full browser automation capabilities 7. Configure skills to bundle everything into a single automation executable triggered by one command The entire setup takes roughly 20 minutes Transform Claude into your ultimate second brain, packed with persistent memory, direct cloud and email integration, plus seamless web browsing Check out the full step-by-step guide in the article below
