Having to pay $3,000 out of pocket for my daughter’s braces while having what the dentist called “really good dental insurance” is exactly why I’ll continue to say this Dental and vision not being included in health insurance is a scam that doesn’t get talked about nearly enough

I'm seeing a lot of discourse about who WoW Forever is being made for and while I cannot speak for anyone else on the team I can speak for myself. I am making WoW forever for the classic gamer and for the millions of people who have had their accounts lapse over the years because they were not satisfied with changes that were made to the game. Whether those changes were to the art style, the story, social aspects, game design, or changes to their favorite class. I did not spend the last year of my life relearning and mastering how to do things like we did it 20+ years ago for retail players. I could have taken it easy and just kept doing things like I had done for the past 8 years on retail...because I was much more familiar with it and it actually takes a lot less time to do (height maps on textures do a ton of heavy lifting). Because the reality is that the majority of retail players wouldn't care and would probably actually prefer it. But I felt I had a duty to uphold an artistic vision and integrity that millions of people expect from us. But not just for our players, but for my co-workers past and present who worked on it over 20 years ago. If I could not create something that resembled their work then I failed not only them...but myself. Please do not take this as me throwing any shade at retail players or the retail team because I am one myself...but I wanted to make Forever as authentic of a Vanilla experience as possible. This involves making decisions wildly different than retail. It means holding the line against changes that create a domino affect down the road. It means keeping friction and inconveniences in the game. It means finding friends and forming groups with strangers and being social!! Because WoWs social aspects have always been the pillar of the game and over the years it has slowly been chiseled away at with changes that allow you play alone. Since the day I started working on the Riverglades I have lived by three sayings. "Convenience is the death of the journey." "If you're making a game for everyone then you're making it for no one." "Every change we make incurs a debt to the authenticity of the game and sooner or later that debt will be paid." These are my core beliefs and I had a specific group of people I was targeting with my work. These beliefs cannot be shaken and I will try to hold the line against anything that goes against them and will continue to pester the team about things that feel out of place. That being said, my hope is that Forever will pull in as many people as possible, whether you are a retail gamer, a classic gamer, someone who hasn't played in years, or even a new player. I hope you can all remember what made this game so special in the first place and that starts with understanding why we are so passionate about keeping it authentic.

Corporate Infosec sends a phishing test email, I click, and somehow I'm the asshole because "[I] failed the test; had this been real it would have destroyed the company network"? If me clicking can destroy the network, I'm not the one in this conversation who sucks at their job.

IMPORTANT: Upgrade Microsoft Entra Connect Sync before September 30th! You must be on at least version 2.5.79.0 released in May 2025. Check your Entra Connect version. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/en…
Microsoft Entra Connect Sync upgrade required before September 30, 2026! All synchronization services in Microsoft Entra Connect Sync will STOP working on September 30, 2026 if you're not on at least version 2.5.79.0. In May 2025, Microsoft released this version with a back-end service change that hardens its services. Upgrade before this deadline to avoid any service disruption. Microsoft strongly recommends upgrading to the latest available version 2.6.84.0, rather than only meeting the minimum version requirement. Version 2.6.84.0 includes security fixes and is the current recommended release. If you're unable to upgrade before the deadline, all synchronization services will FAIL until you upgrade. The Microsoft Entra Connect Sync .msi installation file is exclusively available on Microsoft Entra Admin Center. Make sure you meet the minimum requirements, including .NET Framework 4.7.2 and TLS 1.2. Learn more: - alitajran.com/upgrade-micros… - learn.microsoft.com/en-us/en… #Microsoft365 #EntraID #EntraConnect #Cybersecurity

You may not want to believe it but it doesn’t make it any less true. You absolutely can defend Active Directory. Start by doing this: Part 1 - Disabling NTLMv1 Part 2 - Removing SMBv1 Part 3 - Enforcing LDAP Signing Part 4 - Enforcing AES for Kerberos Part 5 - Enforcing LDAP Channel Binding Part 6 - Enforcing SMB Signing Part 7 - Implementing Least Privilege Link to all articles 👇 techcommunity.microsoft.com/…

So the tariff costs were passed on to the consumers, but the refund went straight to the corporations. Lol
JUST IN: Apple received an estimated $2,200,000,000.00 tariff refund this quarter.

BREAKING: A Redditor just discovered that shared Claude conversations have been showing up in public search results. The post has 4K upvotes and hundreds of comments, so this is spreading fast. Here's what actually matters for you. Every time you hit "Share" on a Claude or ChatGPT chat, that creates a public page. Not a private link. A public page that search engines can crawl like any other website. Most people who've used share links have never been told this. Some of those pages look to be dropping out of search results already, so this may be getting cleaned up on the platform side. Don't count on it. Unsharing is the only thing that actually takes the page down, and a cached copy can outlive the fix.

‼️ Steam is hosting malware again, this time in a custom map for the game MECCHA CHAMELEON Loading the map quietly writes a Windows command file into the player's Documents folder, which then opens PowerShell in an invisible window and tries to download a second script from a server. The dropped file was recovered. The second stage 404'd, so nobody knows what it does yet. We're working on that.

I said this about AI well over a year ago. Using it to diagnose and fire people with medical conditions so they lose their insurance AND their income is somehow even more heartless and evil than I’d predicted.
Meta used AI to target workers with medical conditions for layoffs, according to a new lawsuit. Twenty-six former Meta employees are suing, accusing the company of using AI that disproportionately targeted people with disabilities or workers who took medical leave in selecting people for mass layoffs. reuters.com/world/meta-used-…

E. Jean Carroll was just paid more than $5.6 million by the sitting president of the United States after a jury found him liable for sexually abusing her and a federal judge clarified that what he did was rape. That should be the biggest story in the country today. The president raped a woman. She took him to court. And she won. VIA @theZachBerger

🚨This is exactly how ICE agents create the very situations they later use to justify murdering citizens. In the video, they box in the vehicle of a U.S. citizen. They approach with guns already drawn, and try to open her car door… while repeatedly ordering her to unlock it, and ignoring anything she says. And notice how they don’t identify themselves. They don’t explain why she’s being detained. They don’t tell her what crime they suspect her of committing. To the person inside the car, it’s just a group of masked, armed men surrounding her vehicle and trying to force their way in. That’s how panic starts. And when people panic, move their car, or try to get away from what they reasonably perceive as a violent threat, ICE agents open fire, and later claim the vehicle was “used as a weapon.” Law enforcement cannot detain people without legal justification. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures, and officers are expected to clearly communicate their authority, and the basis for their actions. They are supposed to de-escalate situations. Instead, they use tactics to create fear and confusion… making it more likely someone will panic, and easier for agents to claim deadly force was necessary, while they violate the person’s constitutional rights. When these tactics become standard practice, accountability becomes nonexistent.

De Niro: I hate to say it, but loving our country is starting to sound like an abused spouse saying they love their abuser. I can’t love a country that starts stupid and inhumane wars, killing thousands of innocents and indirectly causing the deaths and suffering of millions more. I can’t love a country that takes healthcare away from millions of people and uses that money to enrich their pals in the Trump-Epstein class. I can’t love a country that sends out masked militias to shoot citizens in the streets, torture our neighbors, and separate families. I can’t love a country that’s led by a racist, misogynist, xenophobic tyrant. And let me just say it: I can’t love a country that’s led by Donald Trump and his sycophant Congress.

in the 1990s, the US government classified 128-bit SSL encryption as a "munition" under ITAR, putting it in the same legal bucket as missiles and tanks. As a result, Netscape and Microsoft had to develop two entirely separate versions of their web browsers:

If you can’t tax billionaires and trillionaire because “its unrealized gains until they cash out,” then stop letting them leverage that wealth for loans, as collateral, or as equity. If it’s not real enough to tax, it shouldn’t be real enough to leverage. This is why we say the system is rigged in favor of the super wealthy. Abolish billionaires, tax them out of existence, protect working people.
