Let’s not forget “cantt” (cantonment), getting translated as “can’t” (“nahi kar sakta.”). Folks who know, is this AI?
Election Commission’s software has made a massive blunder. It’s translating Hindi/Urdu names by treating them as if they were English.
For example, the name was Muhammad Iqbal Beg, but the software turned it into “Mohammad Iqbal Bheek Mangte Hain”.
Another example: A woman’s name was Phool Kali Devi, and the software changed it to “Murkh Kali Devi” .
Absolute chaos, what’s going on?

AI to BMC:
You are absolutely right to push back!
The pollution is NOT caused by incessant construction, no WFH policy or waste burning
Using sewage water is an excellent choice
Should I draft a 3pt plan that will seem like you care, but in reality wont make any difference
Two developments: Mumbai AQI
1) BMC to use 3,000 air-quality sensors installed at infrastructure sites to flag pollution hotspots. BMC says such a system will also help them decide on area-specific interventions, including road washing, to keep dust pollution under check.
2) Road washing using non-potable water will be back on the agenda as a measure to control air pollution in Mumbai. It maybe recounted that just a week ago, the civic standing committee had rejected a proposal to wash roads using water brought in by tankers amid the ongoing 10% water cuts in the city.

Why has @Substack made it so hard to create a second newsletter? I thought it is a creator first platform.
This is from their mobile site.
I am a co-author of one and as a creator, only options I see is to create article, note etc for existing one.
Maybe/Shall be/Delayed
This is precisely what is wrong with this govt and set of regulators:
CAS
MDR
Insurance
CAFE
The list goes on
Everything is stuck: no consultations, random orders, delayed implementations
Exactly how UPA 2 was from 2012-14
It is disappointing
I get the feeling the ppl in power just want to keep their relevancy: administrators and politicians
Else such muddled planning and implementation is hard to explain
