When we meditate on the words of the Bible, it is like staring intently at the mind and heart of God.
The Holy Spirit is not really interested in your image. He is, however, passionate about turning your life into the image of Christ.
Today, I finished the manuscript for my latest book 'The Christ I See' - a daily devotional commentary on Paul's letter to the young church in Colossae.

On Col.3:1,2 - 'As we set our minds towards, and think much about, the things above, we will find ourselves bringing God’s perspective to our world. We could actually become a prophetic people.'
"There is a world of difference between creating an impression and leaving an impression."
From the new daily devotional commentary on Colossians that I am working on called 'The Christ I See'.
"Paul lived in his world, with all the sounds and sights that surrounded him, but he was also fully aware of the world of the kingdom of heaven, and it was that world that spoke the deepest to him, and inspired, influenced, shaped and empowered his life and ministry.”
Using the analogy of a motor car, caution is like the set of brakes, and courage is like the accelerator. Both need to be used according to the circumstances. Fear is the hole in the petrol tank.
“There is only one way to love God: to take not a single step without him, and to follow with a brave heart wherever He leads. (Fenelon 1651-1715)
The psalmist wrote, "It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep." (Psa.127:2) There is a huge difference between diligent toil and anxious toil. The first honours God and the second dishonours him.
Watch out for this one coming...Ephesians volume 2!
I still have copies of volume here at the house.
Here's a thought – A.W. Tozer wrote, “…song can never bring the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit does invariably bring song.”
