Today the ANC asked for your forgiveness. Then proceeded to table an unfunded budget, in a city that their own finance minister declared bankrupt.
You be the judge.
This was a scheme to award contracts worth R431 million to ANC aligned companies who ostensibly had no experience in the cleaning or decontamination industry. The names of companies who won these tenders included "bookshop", "catering", "payroll" and "travel".

COSATU betrays workers to support Lesufi’s failures
The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has thrown its weight behind Premier Panyaza Lesufi, following the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng’s tabling of a motion of no confidence against the Premier, shockingly labelling him as a “beacon of decisive leadership.”
The DA challenges COSATU to cite even a few innovative infrastructure projects successfully spearheaded by Lesufi.
The DA calls on COSATU to reconsider its stance, as history will hold it accountable for choosing political loyalty over the needs of the people.

@JHBWater @CityofJoburgZA Despite a subsidised sewerage tariff for multi-dwelling units (semi-detached, simplex & duplex units, townhouses, flats) passed in 2024, CoJ still bills at the previous higher tariff. Unfair that residents, if aware, need to apply for a tariff change.
To add insult to injury, a credit is not backdated from the time the incorrect tariff was charged, but from the time the tariff change application is approved. Sharp business practice? @SAPOA_SA @JPOMA_ZA @SAMRRA_ZA
