I got hardware for an open-source alt to Google Home/Alexa. I installed OpenVoiceOS, but it doesn't work quite right and I need to troubleshoot it. It's really hard -- it's a complex system of Linux components and Python scripts.
It's got docs, but they aren't helpful in troubleshooting dev issues.
I spent 4 hours exploring the Linux OS to find an error message in the logs saying something like "Can't call 'contains' on None".

data flow and control flow are not as different as they may seem.
"data flow" is the flow of internal state;
"control flow" is the flow of external state

Years ago, there were web sites like Pricegrabber and Google Shopping that gave lots of options of sellers of a product. Is there anything like that now? The current Google Shopping is only giving me like 2 sellers per product now.

It's interesting how I've not heard many prog lang people referencing the Wolfram lang.
Like, it seems to be really cool and powerful in lots of ways. Shouldn't it inspire prog lang developers?
NextDoor is awesome. The content posted there is so unique.
It's also the most depressing - it exposes the daily crimes committed in your neighborhood. Still trying to understand it.
