The Old World is dying. The New World is also dying. Now is the time of, you guessed it, dying.

To remind folks: I met Epstein in the late 90s/early 2000s via my book agent at the TED conference. I was in my 20s. There were hundreds of folks at TED and those dinners. I barely knew him, but he was everywhere, relentlessly networking with everyone in science, finance, technology, media, and politics. Based on what I’ve learned, my guess is he was a spy and was trying to compromise folks. That’s why these documents haven’t been released IMO. If I had to guess, his interest in me was probably because I was an angel investor in technology startups, and I had an extensive network. Think it through, folks, what information could he hope to get from me 20 years ago? I was of little importance to the premier scientists, politicians, and elites he was networking with at the time. I never went on the plane or to the island. I hope they prosecute all the guilty parties in this case and release all the files.

As new head coach of the Chicago Bears I will be laser focused on ending the scourge of the Washington Generals once and for all
The Green Party spoiled another major race for us (PA SEN), just the latest on a very long list. As @DNC Chair, I’ll go on permanent offense, not just taking up the legal fight during ballot access. We’ll dismantle these Republican-enablers’ infrastructure. The gloves come off.

The opening 3 paragraphs of the New York Times article about the killing of five journalists in Gaza could pass as an Israeli military press release. This is propaganda, not journalism.

Our current solution of throwing away the belongings of the poor and giving them tickets for living outside while destroying all of our public housing stock and allowing landlords to charge people whatever they want isn't working.

"please mr president my people we long for the camps"
I will split the difference with Vivek: The reason that Indians and other successful minorities in the US succeed is by blending the culture of hard work and familial dedication with the American spirit of dynamism born from the founders and the frontier spirit Pure Asian culture encourages rote memorization, conformity, and leads to misery with little innovation. Pure (modern) western culture valorizes "having a good time" over working hard and inevitably is dominated by hedonism The culture I want to venerate is the American culture which beat the Axis powers in WW2. It had important institutional checks against hedonism, encouraged hard work AND also heavily prioritized athletics, leadership, and social skills The best way to recreate that culture (IMO) is an immigration moratorium as we did in the early 1900s. We must hash out our differences, decide intentionally what culture we want for our children, and end racial balkanization which is eating us from within. We also need to prioritize education/opportunity for native born citizens instead of seeing workers as individual economic units This will inevitably clash with purely capitalist interests (as it did in the 1900s) but is important nonetheless for societal cohesion and strength. Too many H1B arguments I see today are just the inverse of leftist justifications for mass illegal immigration. I'll end with a plea to Americans of Indian descent. Reject the growing calls for Indian identity politics or DEI/Wokeness by another name and instead embrace the spirit of Theodore Roosevelt: "There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all. This is just as true of the man who puts “native” before the hyphen as of the man who puts German or Irish or English or French before the hyphen. Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance. But if he is heartily and singly loyal to this Republic, then no matter where he was born, he is just as good an American as anyone else."

American planes dropping American bombs on the UN and WHO. We're setting the stage for WWIII all we need are the good guys.
Our mission to negotiate the release of @UN staff detainees and to assess the health and humanitarian situation in #Yemen concluded today. We continue to call for the detainees' immediate release. As we were about to board our flight from Sana’a, about two hours ago, the airport came under aerial bombardment. One of our plane’s crew members was injured. At least two people were reported killed at the airport. The air traffic control tower, the departure lounge — just a few meters from where we were — and the runway were damaged. We will need to wait for the damage to the airport to be repaired before we can leave. My UN and @WHO colleagues and I are safe. Our heartfelt condolences to the families whose loved ones lost their lives in the attack.

This is not even the half of it. Biden had 9 cabinet meetings in his first term, compared to Obama's 19 & Trump's 25. One of US history's biggest political scandals. A cover-up so a cabal of unelected advisers could keep running the country. wsj.com/politics/biden-white…

It's just so clear not only that Bernie would have won, but that he could've created a new opening to channel all the alienation and anger that today is pushing young men towards fascism. We had the perfect answer to right-wing authoritarianism, and Dem elites spiked it, twice.

We need to call privatization what it is: adding a profit tax on to a public good. A public post office puts all it's resources towards delivering mail. A privatized post office will diver a large chunk of it's income to shareholders. In what universe is that better?
