j-hope has ranked #9 on Complex’s “The 30 Best K-Pop Solo Artists Right Now” list. “j-hope’s 2025 singles are built for a stage. “Killin' It Girl” and “MONA LISA” are made to be danced to in front of 50,000 people with a band behind him. Even “Sweet Dreams,” the slow one with Miguel, plays better in a stadium than it does on headphones. A dancer before he was an idol, j-hope spent the year on stage in his element: a world tour, a headline set at Lollapalooza Berlin, a Brooklyn show that ran 27 songs. Of the seven BTS members, he’s the one who spent this window operating as a soloist at full scale” — j-hope is the only inactive soloist to make the list!
