How Kind and Generous is Allah ﷻ! Every time one of the five daily prayers begins, He opens the gates of heaven and listens to the supplications of His servants, from the adhān until the prayer ends!

As parents and educators, we want to see our children become huffadh of the Qur’an.
But we forget the true purpose of memorising the Qur’an: to understand it and use it as a guide to live our lives.

Half-term is here, and for many families, that means a little more time together!
Between school, clubs and busy routines, it can feel like there’s barely any time to nurture our children’s iman.

We want our children to be close to the Qur'an, so we help them recite and memorise its surahs.
⏰ Reminder: Clocks go back one hour overnight at 2am
Make the most of the shorter days for fasting and the longer nights for Tahajjud.
“Winter is the best season for the believer. Its nights are long for him to pray in, and its days are short for him to fast in.” - Al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (raḥimahullāh)
Muḥammad ﷺ: the oft-praised, Allah’s chosen one and the finest of His creation.
Send abundant ṣalawāt upon our beloved Prophet ﷺ, especially on the day and night of Jumuʿah.
Three Days of Fasting Each Month: The Reward of Fasting a Lifetime
With the days getting shorter, it’s a perfect opportunity to try to fast the white days each month, as well as on Mondays and Thursdays.

Ibn Rajab (raḥimahullāh) explains that “Such a person is elevated from the level of īmān to the level of iḥsān, so that he worships Allah as if he sees Him. His heart becomes filled with knowledge (maʿrifah) of Allah, His love, greatness, fear, awe, reverence, closeness, and longing for Him, until the person ‘sees’ Allah with the eye of insight…
This state within the hearts of the devoted lovers of Allah continues to grow stronger until their hearts become completely filled with it. Nothing remains in their hearts besides Him, and their limbs move only in accordance with what their hearts contain. When a servant reaches this state, it is said of him: ‘Nothing remains in his heart except Allah,’ i.e. His knowledge, love, and remembrance.”

This photograph, shared just two days ago from inside Masjid al-Aqsa, shows a deeply painful and disturbing sight.
The weeds growing in the open areas surrounding the Dome of the Rock have not been seen to this extent for over fifty years.
The scene reminds us of an almost empty Masjid al-Aqsa in the 1970s, before the great revival of Ribat brought worshippers back to the Masjid.
The return of such scenes is a clear indication of how weak the Muslim presence in Masjid al-Aqsa has become, alongside the inability to even clear these weeds.
Whether we like to admit it or not, Masjid al-Aqsa is suffering from the absence of worshippers and those maintaining Ribat throughout the day and night.
We must not deceive ourselves into believing that Masjid al-Aqsa is filled with worshippers, *it's not*. If it were, we would not see weeds growing across its grounds like this.
Masjid al-Aqsa is being taken from our hands while we stand and watch.
What exactly is the red line the Ummah is waiting for before responding in a manner that truly reflects the gravity of what is happening on the ground?

It's easy to teach your child how to pray, make wudu and fast. But how do you nurture a love for these acts of worship? How do you plant a love for the deen in their little hearts?

So many of our children can recite beautifully, but do they know what Allah is saying to them?
Our Qur’an & Tadabbur books help your child go beyond reciting and memorising.
Sujūd is one of the best and most honoured times to make duʿā’. Pour your heart out to Allah in sujūd and cry out of fear of Him. Make duʿā’ for everything, be it minor or major. Be selfless and make duʿā’ for your family, friends and the ummah. Be like Abū al-Dardā’ (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) who said, “Indeed I make duʿā’ for thirty of my brothers whilst I am in sujūd, with their names and their fathers’ names.”
If you want to be close to Allah’s Messenger ﷺ, then send as much ṣalawāt as possible, as he ﷺ said, “The closest of people to me on the Day of Judgement will be those who send the most ṣalawāt upon me” (Tirmidhī).
Recite ṣalawāt with a present heart and increase the amount on the day and night of Jumu‘ah.
