I wish the new generations of artists could enjoy a healthier internet. While I was developing my style, I never stopped uploading the ugliest Vocaloid fan art, and honestly, I don't know if I would have had the strength to keep drawing if I'd had to face hostile comments 24/7.

people are gonna disagree with this but I’m not even sure i believe in art regression. I think sometimes we just go through big stylistic changes and it’s kinda like puberty where it’s awkward for a long while and then eventually it’s over and suddenly everything is more awesome

pqrt already! anyway, i’ll show what i mean. my skill when it comes to traditional vs digital artwork is just… so different. configuring settings, learning an art program, practicing colour theory, practicing things like line weight on digital artwork is just a very different

so in my case this is literally because i drew with a pencil and paper for years of my life and started digital art like… a year ago. what works on paper with only a black pencil doesnt rlly translate to digital art well😭

process for me.. i’m sure there’s probably other artists who might be able to relate?? also some people can practice certain fundamentals which i know i have which has been a focus on form, anatomy, etc over colour theory or lineart.

this is just my case though!! and a reason to share my struggles & a bit of artwork. i hope as i’m starting out this account & sharing my work a bit people can see my stuff is authentic even if theres fundamentals im still learning 😅
