At DLF, we believe that building disease resilience into the genetics of the plant is the most sustainable and cost-effective long-term solution. To achieve this, our breeders use advanced screening platforms to select only the most Microdochium-tolerant plants for further development. Here's how we do it👇

As climate patterns shift across Europe, turf managers are facing an increasing challenge: Microdochium patch outbreaks, also known as pink snow mold, are becoming more frequent and severe. Warmer autumns, milder winters, and wetter conditions create the perfect environment for this destructive turf disease to thrive. At DLF, we’re tackling this challenge through advanced turfgrass breeding. Our team screens thousands of plants annually under both controlled and natural conditions, ensuring that only the most disease-resistant varieties make it into our portfolio. The result? Turf with proven resilience to Microdochium patch, even under the toughest European conditions. DLF varieties are not only lab-tested but also independently validated in national turf trials like Scanturf and Scangreen. This means you can trust our genetics to perform when it matters most.
