I've done many podcasts, but this rates among the best produced and most fun. If you're interested in #careers with #purpose, we cover a lot of ground as I share the good and the bad from 20 years working in the social and tech sectors. Hope you enjoy it.

Remembering a little piece of software I started writing exactly 15 years ago this week - and all the amazing things thousands of people in hundreds of countries ended up doing with it. #ICT4D #globaldev #grateful

If you see a job advert in #ICT4D, #globaldev or whatever you want to call it hiring for a role covering Africa, Asia, South America (or wherever) but based in London, Paris, DC (or wherever) - ask them why they're not hiring local talent. And don't apply. theguardian.com/global-devel…

This is incredible. Who on earth at Fox News thought this graphic might be a 'good thing' to do? Just when you thought they couldn't stoop any lower, they stoop lower. America won't mend until they're shut down. Period.

The current tech community response to #COVID19 reminds me a lot of the early work we did around disease monitoring, disaster response, emergencies and more at FrontlineSMS. This @NatGeoEducation Biology textbook feature on our work with malaria is a fond reminder of those days.

Nine years ago I started a project called @MeansofExchange. It focused on building local community and local resilience, something I've long been passionate about. The project sadly slipped, but the #COVID19Pandemic has proved more than ever that we need a new way of living.

Excited to announce we have a 'shortlist' of 54 applicants representing 26 countries in the Global South for our 2019 #digitalidentity Fellowship Programme. A respectable 34% are women. Looking forward to profiling the work of the successful Fellows at #ID4Africa next year. #ID4D
