Over the last six months or so, I have been researching corruption scandals in SA going back to the 1890s. And it has been fascinating. My most important finding? It's not race, party, or era - almost all corruption comes down to the same set of circumstances.

Last night Mngeni Mayor Chris Pappas was one of the last to leave the election centre. He walked around with a black bag helping the cleaners to clean up the venue. He is a gem of a person. DA please look after him well.

Birdwatching is the easiest and quickest way to regulate your nervous system. You can do it in a busy city or in the middle of nowhere. Bird's chirping is an evolutionary signal to our body that there are no predators and we can rest.
ADULT BEHAVIORS that are actually signs of Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN):
• Extreme hyper-independence (refusing to ask for help)
• Feeling guilty or selfish whenever you express a boundary or need
• Going completely blank when someone asks, "What do you feel right now?"
• A quiet, persistent feeling that you are fundamentally "broken"
• Numbing out or retreating into isolation during times of high stress.::. 1//2

Also, is there anything more South African than someone getting Checkers Sixty60 to deliver to her in the election queue? 😂😂 Hats off to the driver, who was completely unbothered..."I'm at the end of the queue, what are you wearing, I'll find you..." 😂😂

I don't think @MYANC will ever begin to fathom how damaging their Secretary General has been to their brand. Is there really no one in this entire movement who can firmly advise Mr Mbalula to be quiet? Just for a few more days? Or give him a sedative? Nothing?
“Potholes will be there because we live in the situation of a climate change there are rains water the the streets get washed out” ANC SG Fikile Mbalula
“We are not talking something that you know is falling from the sky we talking about what government is going to do to help” @MbalulaFikile

Uneducated parents in the 90’s raised engineers, lawyers, doctors, teachers, and other professionals. Yet, educated parents nowadays are raising street idiots and disrespectful, trashy children😭
Nelson Mandela invited the prosecutor who sent him to prison for 27 years to lunch. Then he introduced him to the cameras.
In the video below he says it himself: "In actual fact he is the fellow who sent me to jail."
His name was Percy Yutar. In 1963 he was the state prosecutor in the Rivonia Trial. He called the ANC a communist terrorist organisation and asked the judge to apply the full weight of the law. The crimes could carry the death penalty.
Mandela got life.
In 1995, now President of South Africa, he sat Yutar at his table. The lunch was kosher, for him.
A reporter says this is the man who could have had Mandela sentenced to death. Mandela answers: "That is a wrong statement, but I'll deal with that." Then: "That is now passed."
Yutar speaks: "In what other country in the world would you have the head of the government inviting someone to lunch who prosecuted him 30 years ago?"
Then he asks God to bless Mandela with good health.
Years later Yutar claimed his charges saved the defendants' lives. Mandela's own lawyer called that self-aggrandising.
Some people say this was the greatest act of forgiveness of the century. Others say it was politics, and the prosecutor was rewriting his past.
Could you sit down to lunch with the man who took 27 years of your life?
