Since it is my birthday, decided to do something wholesome and silly. Here are 15 famous Canadians from our history as Muppets. I specifically chose non-politicians this time. Enjoy the thread! John Candy: Comedy Icon Birthday: October 31

Honking loud for all the teachers out there marching today. Call me old fashioned, but we oughta empower and dignify the people who are in charge of guiding the next generation. Of all the things for @fordnation to put their foot down on, this one is a head scratcher.

This isn't about saving money. This is about the @fordnation "vision": gleefully cruel, fearful of community, culturally impoverished. That people can see these priorities in action and think "Yeah, this is cool" reveals a heartbreaking ugliness.

How do you surprise a student with a $30,000 scholarship? At a high school dance, of course. Congratulations, Liam Outlaw, on being awarded @huronatwestern's most prestigious scholarship - the Hellmuth!
