I'm finally digging into the Google Algo Leak and, WOW, there's a lot there.
I've long said that a domain's history and age was important. And lo and behold, it is.
I also assert that certain TLDs are suppressed - especially .biz and .xyz, but no evidence for this... yet!
Finally! It's definitely been a turbulent rollout and it's taken much longer than expected.
Lots of opinions on twitter about the impact but I'd have to say that from what I'm seeing, few sites were impacted unfairly.

Just got told off by a @BrightonHoveBus driver for running for the bus and making it before he shut the rear doors but he did close the front in my face then think better of it... I mean... I do pay for the service of transportation, nobody was doing anyone any favours here...
While @JasminKParis has completed one of the most incredible sports achievements in the world as the first woman ever, the @BBCSport is busy talking about a men's national friendly between Northern Ireland and Romania... 🤔

Just received this text message from my GP....
Does anyone know what it is about male urinary tract infections that make them 'not minor' when compared to women's? 🤔

Is your mortgage deal coming to an end in the next 6 months? If yes, now is the time to talk about your options. Give me a call or send me a message on here. I'll be happy to help. My contact details are in my bio.
I think it's very clear that the August HCU update did not go to plan.... I personally think that's what the onslaught of updates since has been about - rectifying the rollout. Though I agree, I don't think they've rolled back. Yet.
When Googlers like @JohnMu and @dannysullivan delete posts on X (Twitter) it makes you wonder why... here is partially why - but does it mean the Helpful content update was rolled back??? seroundtable.com/googler-del…
Google: we want more content on single pages.
Also Google: we only want video content where it is the only content on the page.
Also Google: we own YouTube
I'm not saying there's a connection... I'm just saying.
Starting today, we’re rolling out an update to our results in Video mode to only show pages where the video is the main content of the page, to better connect users with the video content they're looking for. We will also be adding a new reason in Search Console to better explain why videos aren't indexed. More in: developers.google.com/search…
@MoneySavingExp surprised you've not spotted this before putting their offer in your newsletter... It's basically a non-offer.
Never buy anything from @HelloFreshUK. They sent me an offer in the mail but refused to show me any prices unless I clicked 'reactivate', then refused to cancel an order I never intended to place for a product I don't want (an old plan) only minutes later. This is #fraud
