As Democrats, we constantly criticize the far-right for their incendiary and discriminatory politics, but we need to hold ourselves to the same standard. Hasan Piker’s rhetoric is polarizing and dangerous, and embracing him as a party is a mistake. I am disappointed that Minnesota DFLers are hosting an event with him here.

Smart pols don’t want Hasan Piker in town (for a vanity project) a couple weeks before an election because they don’t want to be answering questions about whether America deserved 9/11, whether Ukraine should Crimea a river, and whether whatever he said that day is antisemitic.
Paging @peggyflanagan? Will you do the same? Or are you cool with a guy who says “America deserved 9/11?” The @MinnesotaDFL is as radical as ever.
