Aston Villa held an important working meeting today to plan the club's future and lay the foundations for its long-term sporting and institutional project.
The meeting brought together Nassef Sawiris, the club's Chairman and Unai Emery alongside President of Football Operations Roberto Olabe and Director of Football Operations Damián Vidagany.
The discussions focused on jointly planning the club's long-term strategic direction, with positive discussions establishing a clear commitment beyond 2029 for the joint development of the club under the sporting leadership of Unai Emery based on the shared ambitions and common goal to reach excellency and keep growing during the next years.
The objective is clear: to build an ambitious, competitive Aston Villa capable of taking on the biggest challenges and achievements.
Met one on my heroes on Saturday. Not only a proper footballer, but a really lovely man too. Had a little chat to him about Sid ☹️

We might not click on Monday, we might not click at Hull next weekend. We might not click in the champions league the following midweek, but when we click, fuck me, this side will click.
What a manager we’ve got UTV
Mine was £703 in L7 - stop telling porkies 🙄
Despite cost pressures continuing to affect match-going fans, every English top-flight club has a waiting list in operation for season tickets, indicating that demand remains high.
That is reflected in decisions made over pricing, with 14 of the 20 clubs raising the cost of season tickets — some by more than the rate of inflation. However, five clubs did freeze prices.
So which club has the most expensive season ticket? Who has the cheapest? And how significant is match-day revenue to each?
Welcome to The Athletic’s annual survey.

Do you know when you watch a TV series you didn’t expect to enjoy, but it gradually grows on you, and by the end, you’re loving it?
Then comes the second series. A few key characters have changed. Your first reaction is: “Hmm… I’m not sure. I was used to the others.”
But you give it time. Because the storytelling is still in the hands of the same writer.
That’s how I see this new Aston Villa under Unai Emery. There are question marks, of course, and some new characters will take time to grow on you. But after what the previous “series” achieved, perhaps those question marks should be met less with apprehension and more with curiosity.
We know the storyteller. We know what he’s capable of. So give it time. Enjoy the ride, the new memories. And let’s see where this series takes us.

Ezri Konsa. The best centre half we’ve had since @Paulmcgrath5
Leaves us after 7 brilliant years. Top class.
Excited to see what Unai does with this team now going forward. UTV.
This 👇
We marvel at how impressive Emery is for getting the maximum out of a set of players that were bang average before his arrival…
And how he’s impressively maintained these levels with a squad that he inherited, rather than players he chose...
We desperately want Aston Villa to progress but we’ve already seen and achieved what the maximum level of these players gets us…
We finally begin to see those players move on for impressive fees and allow Emery to bring in players with attributes that suit his style…
So why is it such a terrible thing?
