How to quit Vim:
:q quit
:q! quit without saving
:wq writes and quit
:wq! write and quit even if file has only read permission
:x write and quit (only writes in case of changes)
:qa quit all
:cq quit without saving. Vim returns a non-zero error
No more jokes now.

Unpopular opinion...
A developer with better soft skills than tech skills.
Will have a more successful career.
Than a developer with better tech skills than soft skills.
Agree or disagree?

Today we had a great chat with Andrew Ide from @HorseRecords2, another of our Hills & Coast Business Grant recipients.
Stay tuned for case studies that will give more insight into the grant process and how recipients have been using their funding.

🦾 0.42.0 has been released! It minifies the JSON payload by default and can optionally minify rendered HTML to reduce bandwidth (details at django-unicorn.com/docs/sett…).
Changelog: django-unicorn.com/docs/chan… 🎉

0.37.1 has been released which adds a small (but mighty!) feature. `javascript_exclude` in a view's Meta class now supports nested field attributes.
The image has an example: this prevents the `tags` field on the `Bookmark` model from being serialized to the front-end.

Any UK based Django Developers around for a 6 month (outside ir35) contract role?
Fully remote is fine but needs to be based from the uk.
Budget around £500 per day. Start 4th October. All Python/Django work.

It's ok if you totally suck at a particular area of tech. You don't need to be great at everything. Just try to excel in a few things and be the go to person for that stuff and you'll be very valuable to your team.
I suck at wireless networking, but great at wired networking.

Would appreciate any signal boost on this. @upwave is a great company to work for, and I *know* AU has good people… but our hiring process in AU isn’t finding them.
Repeating an earlier call - I'm still looking for a Full stack engineer to come work with me on my team at @Upwave - Java/Groovy + React. Remote position for any AU-compatible timezone. Anyone want to come work with a great team?

Repeating an earlier call: I'm looking for a mid+ experience full stack dev to join my team at @Upwave. Stack is Groovy/Java+React, but if you've got a different stack and a willingness to pick up Groovy, you'll be considered. Remote; would like an AU if we can.
