Move the show
The U.S State Department today has ordered nonessential embassy staff and their families to evacuate Saudi Arabia immediately.
The official alert states the hostilities have the potential to escalate rapidly beyond the airport attacks.
WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh is two weeks away.

At this point, it would be brand suicide and morally indefensible for @TKOGrp and @WWE to send talent and employees to Saudi Arabia for #WWECrownJewel.
The U.S. is preparing ordered departures for diplomatic personnel and their families across the Gulf, Saudi Arabia is under a Level 3 “Reconsider Travel” advisory, and major events in the Kingdom are already being postponed.
So how does WWE justify asking wrestlers, production crews and employees to fly into Riyadh for a wrestling show?
There comes a point where the money cannot outweigh the duty of care you have to your own people.
BREAKING: US embassy staff and their families have been ordered to leave Saudi Arabia, according to AFP report.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
US officials say AFP report cited (which also claimed orders for other Gulf countries) is inaccurate; only non-emergency US government employees/families in Saudi Arabia per State Dept. No such orders mentioned in official US Embassy Saudi alerts.

On one hand, some of my friends might be blown up and not make it home.
On the other hand, Ari Emanuel & Nick Khan will be able to buy more oceanside vacation property.
Even trade, I guess.

The fact that simply saying "Even though we're confident there would be no security issues at Crown Jewel, we're relocating the show domestically as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and peace of mind of our production team and talent." IS NOT EVEN AN OPTION tells you all you need to know about @TKOGrp and @WWE.
They're in a tight spot and I get that. Relocating this show will automatically result in major uncertainty and questions for WrestleMania, which I'm sure they don't want to face. But that's their own fault and dragging hundreds of talent and staff into this uncomfortable mess is unfair, greedy, and negligent.
Security Alert: U.S. Mission Saudi Arabia (October 21, 2026)
Iranian-supported Houthis have engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure resulting in civilian casualties and severe travel disruptions. The hostilities have the potential to escalate rapidly beyond that immediate area.
U.S. citizens are reminded to follow the guidance of national alerts released by Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense via cellular broadcast.
U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia require special authorization from Chief of Mission to use any airport in Saudi Arabia following recent missile and UAV attacks on airports in the Kingdom.
Operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh remain suspended. King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam are operational with some delays and cancellations.
U.S. citizens should be aware of potential attacks on airports, airspace closures, flight cancellations, and travel disruptions. Please take extreme caution if you choose to use airports in Saudi Arabia. We recommend checking your flight departure status directly with the airline and with the airport.

Love when someone’s home suits them aesthetically
Ilja Dragunov was asked what made him leave WWE and if he knew AEW was waiting. Ilja said that he had faith in himself, guts, and courage. And there are many many people who are uncomfortable in their current situation or want change but they need guts and courage to make that happen.
