People talk about #Charlottesville a lot. But for us at Charlottesville Tomorrow, it's really important to talk to the people here. Nice work by a new contributor, Margaret Manto. cvilletomorrow.org/they-live…
Grateful to Philip Cobbs for telling this beautiful story about his family and the land. "If one is looking for the forgotten footprint of slavery, start at the river, not just on the mountaintop. It’s a footprint that is washing away with each flood." cvilletomorrow.org/it-was-on…
Happy #SuperTuesday! We're excited to launch the Charlottesville Tomorrow 2024 Voter Guide, starting with seeking voter feedback. If you know folks in central Virginia you might share it with, we'd really appreciate it. Democracy is also local! cvilletomorrow.org/2024-vote…

JUST IN: Nation's immigration courts now have an astounding backlog of 3 million, per @TRACReports.
"...more judges and higher case closures per judge have still now been able to keep pace with the flow ..."
A year ago, backlog was 2 million.

How cool is this organization? Women Do News writes women journalists back into history through Wikipedia. @angshah and @AK_Moseid will join this year's CAMP to host a workshop that helps us all "Get women journalists their flowers."

#ONA23 Thanks to all of you who visited with @womendonews! We'd love to see you at our monthly virtual edit-a-thon — this Tuesday — where you can go even deeper about how and why we are putting more notable women journalists on Wikipedia. Here's more: womendonews.org/events/
It’s really great to see the term “participatory journalism” all over the place at #ONA23. It’s a term I first heard from jesikah maria ross, working with her on her playbook published by @LPostCollective internews.org/wp-content/upl…
At #ONA23, Micheala Sosby is talking about financials and the spark of joy when a spreadsheet clicks!! Mark Little too! I think that is the theme of this years conference? Spreadsheets are great!
