While personal agents like @instinct, @bot or @Muse are getting really good at long-horizon tasks, there is also an entire class of problems where I need something simple done right now.
We keep building new widgets for these. Long term, they could be generated on the fly with generative UI, like json-render from @ctatedev.
Jev-based and inspired by @anishfn.
Was fun hacking on this with @hkonsti_!
created a skill "build-taste".
something i used internally to create my lab.anishfn.ink
what it does:
- saves your reference from a canvas directly to a folder in your code which your agent can access
- evolves as you take design decisions in your codebase
- claude tracks and updates it all
get it here: build-taste.anishfn.ink

breakscale just hit 1,700 stars 🎉
55 days ago it was a side project. now 12 people have shipped code to it
if you're learning system design, try it. build a system, load it until it breaks, watch why
free, no sign up 👇
some people got no shame in copying os projects and adding a paywall on top.
Breakscale does this part free and open source.
It's a real discrete-event simulation, so every number comes from individual simulated requests moving through actual queues, rather than being drawn to look right. The retry storm example is the one nobody believes until they watch it happen: 100 requests a second going in, 348 arriving at a database that was already full, purely because every client politely retried.
Runs in the browser, inside VS Code, and inside your AI assistant through an MCP server.
1,654 stars since August. MIT licensed, free forever, and it gets better every week because people keep sending fixes for things I got wrong.

digup is now on Omarchy.
Press Super+D and describe what you're looking for. It will find the photo, the PDF page, the moment in a video or recording, or the code, and open it up for you.
Runs on your computer. Free and open source.
this is the shapeshiftui pattern at enterprise scale.
one input → Jev classifies the intent → picks the right pre-built interactive UI (form, calendar, approval card, etc.) instead of a static screen or full generation.
shipped the same idea a few weeks ago:
shapeshiftui.vercel.app
nice to see it shipping inside Workday. credit would be cool though :))
today sana is becoming the new home for workday.
workday actions now take a few seconds to complete with dynamic ui.
powered by jev.
it's been v fun working with the @typesafeai team on this!
