Lab-Grown Gold Robots Wars Geopolitical Uncertainties AI-driven job losses Civil unrest in countries Flying cars Websites across the world hit by millions of attempts to exploit a PHP code flaw AI conducting cyberattacks autonomously Every day, there is something new happening somewhere in the world. Technology is advancing at an unbelievable pace, while geopolitical and social uncertainties seem to be rising alongside it. We are living in one of the most fascinating, yet uncertain periods in human history. The pace at which the world is changing is just crazy Sometimes I wonder what the world will look like 5–10 years from now!
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

The tragedy is that the poor elephant finally lost its ability to stay calm and patient in the middle of noisy human celebrations, but was eventually recaptured. The animal deserves a better life. Stop Elephant domestication.
Dasara procession turns to tragedy in Shivamogga. The elephant carrying the Ambari runs amok across the streets damaging buildings and vehicles before coming to a halt as the 650 kilo silver ambari it was carrying falls down.

Things are moving so fast that everyone seems to have completely missed how insane it is that AI companies have been allowed to unleash agentic AI products with no regulatory guidelines.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

Of the world’s 30 cities with the worst air pollution, 17 are in India. The capital, New Delhi, has the poorest air quality among capital cities globally, with concentrations of particulate matter (PM2.5) nearly 10 times higher than the World Health Organization guidelines.
Look at the dust and pollution along this stretch from RK Puram to Munirka due to road construction. This is on Swami Vivekanand Marg, and the dust has been hanging in the air for over a week now. I have never seen a dust haze this thick. @MCD_Delhi @gupta_rekha Should we choke ourselves to death.

What billionaires have been up to this week 🚀 - Elon Musk unveiled a Tesla Roadster that drove upside down and performed a mid-air flip. - Vinod Khosla backed a biotech startup that's offering to freeze people's immune cells for possible future use. He's signed up himself. - Mukesh Ambani's Jio Platforms preps for India's biggest IPO, aiming to raise up to ₹30,213 crore. Reliance also launched ₹20 flavoured milk under a new brand called Joyland. Quite the range of activities.

How to make buying water a pain in the ass. Mumbai T1 terminal edition. 🫣 You go to Mumbai snacks. You ask for a bottle of water. It's 120 rupees. You have to scan and open adani one app. Put mobile number, pay via UPI, and get a WhatsApp confirmation. Only then, you get water🙄

I agree that journalists have the right to report, and the public have the right to protest. The anger is stemming from the fact that several journalists or rather their organisations, do not support the right to protest, and instead have systematically villainised the protestors. Yes, we can condemn the heckling. We can ask the protesters to stop behaving like this. At the same time, I hope these reporters (and many of them seniors) are coming back to their Newsrooms and strongly asking why they should bear the brunt for all editorial decisions and why things are not changing

What a real shame you are to this nation, @DelhiPolice! Choking, scratching, and kicking female @NSUI student with heavy boots in broad daylight just because they dared to raise their voices against vote chori? You hide behind uniforms and state power to inflict physical violence and grotesque humiliation on young women who pose no threat to anyone. Day after day, your bosses preach hypocritical nonsense about women's safety, respect, and protection, yet the exact second those same women demand democratic rights and accountability, you unleash your inner animals upon them. Dragging them by their hair, crushing them under heavy boots, and assaulting their bodily integrity exposes the absolute rot at the heart of this system. You really think a badge gives you a free pass to act like violent goon with absolute impunity? Suspensions and internal inquiries are a complete joke. Accountability isn't enough anymore every single officer involved in this cowardly assault needs to be fired and brought to justice .
